My first LV....Mahina...please help!

My husband just bought me the Louis Vuitton Mahina bag size L.
I have read through the little booklet that came with it for care instructions. It mentions everything from heat, cleaning, etc. My main concern is rain. Is there anything I need to do to protect it or is it waterproof??

I'd like to know that, too. I wonder if it is safe to treat it with sprays used for fine leather and suede. I have been afraid to do anything yet. The black I am not as worried about, but the Elephant Gris... yikes, am worried about that one!

What color is yours?

i would check the mahina club to see if others have treated theirs; if my memory serves me correct some people have mentioned spraying their bags with apple guard.

I am too afraid to do it to mine and when I asked my sa she said not to.

Thanks! It's in black...I've been wanting one forever and my hubby surprised me with it for our anniversary/my birthday gift!
Thanks I will check the Mahina club, I'm new to the board and haven't really learned where everything is!
