Question for all you elady fans: I have three items in my bag, but haven't pulled the trigger. The pictures look great. And the odeon looks soo good. But she ranks a lot of stuff as 'b' and with scratches and dirt, but then I don't see any of those things in the pictures. Do you feel the products are more like the pictures or the descriptions? Thanks! And I love all these great finds.
Very helpful. Thanks. I have seen the same thing. There will be three of the same bag. They are all rated B but the prices will vary. And then I figure the cheapest will be in the worst shape, but then the pictures won't reflect that! So I can't figure it out, but I see some things in great condition for great prices so I can't wait to get mine.I would go by the pictures. I've bought two bags from her and both bags were better than described.
My Odeon looked pristine in the pictures, but she listed scratches and scuffing (there were none that I could see) and I was al little nervous.
I also got a Sully that was listed with scratches, scuffing and noticeable stains, wrinkling /deformation, but there was only a slight water mark on the handle, which I saw in the pictures and easily made it even less noticeable by cleaning it with a baby wipe when I received it.
My only complaint with Elady is that I notice the bag prices fluctuate a lot. I've seen bags that are in better condition cost less than bags that are not as great condition. For example, when I bought my Sully, they were all over 1k, but I recently saw a couple of listed in the 800's. They were all ranked the same.
I am extremely picky with pre-loved bags and so far I have been very pleased with both my purchases. I also ordered from Brandoff Japan once and prefer Elady so much more. Hope that helps!
UPDATE: My bag shipped in record time from Japan to Chicago....but now has been sitting in Customs since SaturdayI hope it gets here before I leave on my trip on the 25th. the delivery estimates are from 02/17-02/24, so fingers crossed on that and hopefully no customs fees. I'll post an update when available!

UPDATE: After being in customs for over a week, this morning the tracking said out of customs. So hopefully it will ship from Chicago soon. Does anyone know how long it takes to ship once out of customs? I think I remember reading someone saying it's usually pretty quick. And if they are going to charge you customs fees, you don't know until it's delivered and you sign for it, right? Thanks for any feedback!![]()
On site looking at the goodies. Think I'm going to "click" the button- a couple of times.
I'm so glad to hear your bag is on the moooove! In my experience it has been very quick from out of customs to my door. In fact, I just had a bag from another Japanese seller depart Japan on 2/13 and leave customs yesterday at 7:30pm in Los Angeles, and I just signed for it at my door in San Diego just now. That was probably a record, though - I was fully prepared for it to not arrive till tomorrow. The last P.O. scan was arrival at my local post office after 9am, so I didn't know if it was going to sit until tomorrow. Int'l Express packages have to be delivered by noon, I believe, so expect it in the morning sometime!
Oh my gosh! That IS record time. Have you had to pay a lot of customs fees?
I haven't had to pay any customs fees for my int'l purchases, knock on wood! But they have all been under $1K. I think the only time I had to pay any customs fees was for a guitar for my DH a year or two ago, which was over $1K, but that one may have been from the UK, not Japan.
OK, I did it. I decided to buy it, and will get it authenticated after it arrives. I emailed them about better pictures. At first, I got this stock email reply about it being in the warehouse and they can't take a picture. But then, I got another email that did include the pictures I requested. I thought that was kind of weird, but it is still the bag I have been lusting after in great condition, so fingers crossed!
