Mulberry Outlet Bayswater in Black

I bought a 'made for outlet' Bayswater at Cheshire Oaks yesterday for £695. I've ordered a padlock for it in the same leather (which will apparently take a few months) for £60. It's guaranteed for 2 years. They had oak as well.
The staff were lovely and helpful and helped me to compare it to 'full price' ones that they also had.
I struggled to find a guide to outlet Bayswaters before I bought it so I wanted to post a few pictures. I personally like that it has no feet or tag inside as I think that reduces the weight a bit!

The original style Bayswater is a great choice, classic and timeless.

You have options to put in a fair amount of stuff, or carry partly empty and it always looks good!

I didn't know there were Bays bags made to be sold only at the outlets. Seems strange that a basic Bays doesn't come with the lock! Congrats on your new purchase!

Yeah me neither until I called them and asked if they had a black one and they said they did but they were outlet ones! So I thought I'd make a post

Hi! Could you share what the differences to the full priced bayswater are? Did you feel a significant difference in quality such as leather smoothness, thickness, etc?

Outlet special Bayswaters usually don’t have feet or the padlock/cloche, leather will vary across bags & can be hard to compare unless you have two side by side.

I bought my graphite outlet special bays in 2011 and still love it. I like that it’s a bit lighter to carry. At the time, you could only get silver hardware on outlet Bays, IIRC. I have a red outlet Bays that I bought for the silver hardware too.

I think the leather felt more grainy than the full price bayswaters there but maybe full priced ones vary a lot anyway! Other than the lack of feet and a cloche I really can't see much difference at all

UPDATE: I got my cloche!
I ended up chasing Mulberry quite a lot on email, Facebook and Instagram starting on the 3rd of January and eventually they replied via Instagram after a week or so. I ended up sending full details of my order and I thought they'd lost it. However soon afterwards they replied saying it had come into stock at Cheshire Oaks on 27th January, and I paid to have it posted to me (£60 altogether).
I wasn't very impressed with their level of customer service however I do love the final product and it matches perfectly!
