Imo Mabels are wonderful, one of the best designed bags Mulberry ever made. Having said that, no longer have mine, as moved both on in a major cull of the herd, inc. one in goatskin I dearly miss to this day
And so keep eye out for another to come along someday, so that tells you something.

I loved my Mabels for carrying capacity, organisational smarts and security. Used outer pockets for keys, phone, files, things I needed to reach quickly. Rest went inside secure central section. Great bag for travel and public transport, but also looks lovely on passenger seat! Very much admired her neat profile, quietly classic and understated. She would look good in any setting. Not trendy, not young, not instantly recognisable (except by Mulberry folk) but effortlessly chic. Best of all, easy to fling over shoulder or grab by the handles and run.
"Something about the bag that makes it impossible to get rid of" is a something we're all familiar with on here. I hope you will discover Mabel's raison d'être or alternatively, be able to let her go without regret if she's just not right for your life. Like Mulberrygal, will be interested to see what others have to say about her. Several eminent Mabelites out there will have insights into her virtues...come on, let's hear it for the fabulous Mabel
