Most popular Hermès bag for Parisian women?

While most of you have discussed the bag styles Parisians love, can we shift the focus to the types of leather they prefer? I spent two weeks in Paris last year, and I noticed: tons of vintage pieces in boxcalf, the latest Kellys in Epsom, and quite a few exotic leathers around FSH. But honestly, I barely saw any bags in Clemence or Togo. Do Parisian women not like grained leathers? Or are they just too casual for their taste? Would love to hear your thoughts, thanks.

Box, swift, or some other smooth leather. . . Kelly or bolide in sizes larger than you would see on Madison Avenue or in Asia

I also saw a few So Kelly bags ( the north south bucket orientation shoulder strap ones without a top handle.

The so Kelly elan, is also around bc it’s one of the new iterations.

Occasionally I see a battered B35 in smooth leather too.

Near the hotels and in the 8th or the 1st arr, smaller Epsom or some exotic

I haven’t been to Paris for a while, will be popping there in a couple of weeks and shall endeavour to be of service. It’s freezing there at the moment so I do wonder what our Parisian members are carrying.

I've caught a few in action in Paris over the years, mostly larger bags in both smooth and grained leathers.

I've also seen a couple of smaller Birkins (including a Hima B25) and Picotins that I can remember, but those were around FSH and 99% sure they weren't locals.

Edited to add that photos 1 and 3 were in Le Bon Marche. Photo 2 I'm pretty sure was Boulevard Saint-Germain or Boulevard Raspail. Photo 4 was on the Right bank (somewhere!). 5 was around the corner from the FSH boutique but number 6 I found on my camera roll from back in 2017 and have no recollection of.. I assumed it was Paris but now I'm second guessing myself so apologies if not, the road sign is making me wonder where I found it!!

I don't have action pics but when I was in Paris last April, I saw a French woman with her children carrying a gold B30 and a very chic early 30s woman carrying a well loved Retourne BBK 28/32. I only saw these in passing while sitting outside at bistros in the 8th arr. I also spent most of my time on the left bank and I can't say I saw any obvious H bags.

I saw more colorful BKs in all sizes inside the H stores (and near FSH) but their owners were obviously not locals, as they were dressed very flashy and speaking English.

My impression is that Parisian women generally tend to go for bigger bags that run darker in color. This is true for places like London too where a lot of people walk/take public transit and need sensible bags to carry things they might need during the day in their bags. Darker colors because they are less eye-catching. But this is all just my personal experience. Maybe during the summer people carry more colorful bags, but in April it was still quite chilly.

Thanks for photos. Actually photo 3 pretty much sums up my impression of Parisians with H: smooth leather, dark colors, large bag, well-used, and no twilly or charms. Simple and effortlessly chic!
