I just bought a Bridgit and the creed starts with a G. Does that mean it was made in july. It is G0869-11550. If it were to start with an F does that mean a factory bag or June?? Confusing.. And what is a pilot bag?

The letter, A-M, (Coach skips "I" as it looks too much like other numbers/letters) at the very beginning denotes the month manufactured before the 2 digit year. The second set of digits at the end of the first set usually identifies the factory it was produced in. The second set of numbers, after the -, is the actual style number. If this begins with a "F" it is a bag made specifically for the Factory outlets and was not sold at the retail boutiques. Coach will send overstocks and deleted boutique items to the outlets and these won't have a "F" at the front of the style #. Hope this helps! And as always there are exceptions.

I collect an embarrassing amount of older leather Coach. (No ban for me... yet.) I would LOVE to have access to more comprehensive information on deciphering the age of these Beauties without bugging the Coach Customer Service line everyday (however sweet they really are) or the wonderful people in the Authenticate This thread (however sweet they really are too). Any suggestions?

The registration number of the bag I have favored to carry this week is:

No. E6H-4134

So the month seems to be May. Okay. Now this is an (pardon my French) Old Bag, showing scads of love. She was certainly not manufactured in 2006, though she sure loves the accusation of being a youngster. So what does that "H" mean?

Thank you so much for all your help and expertise as always! =)

6 is for 1996. Read my posts on serial numbers beginning with page 18 of the Answers to Authenticity Questions thread under Coach shopping.

H means either made in the US or in Cost Rica, Coach was a bit inconsistent there.

Why thank you kindly Hyacinth. Honest I searched these here forums for every combination of words to get this information to little avail. I guess this forum has such a large amount of collected information that the search results are too vast sometimes.

I thank you for your time! :D
