It would be a good idea to start by going into the store and talking to a salesperson. Have you done that?
yes,I have bought a few items from a sa named daria, she said she will call me when they have birkin ,but she never call me,and last month when I was purchasing the scarves hse said again"sure I promise you will have your mom·s birthday gift"this afternoon, I called her again, she said after she check she will call me back, but until now no call back , so now I am relly worried about if i can get the presant for my mum.I do not know why she do not call me back.by the way do you have any news about birkin in montreal?

When it comes to Birkins in any store, you are really best off working with a sales associate in that store. Perhaps better if you go in in person than just phoning.

now I feel very disappointed and tired of playing this game with the sa in hermes, they just treated me as a fool or even beggars, just a bag spanding almost 15000 dollars,10000 for the birkin, extra 5000 for useless items.

I know you are frustrated, but the H stock in Canada is very limited. After all there are only 4 stores in our entire country. If you have been working with a SA, then as Mistikat has said, you should visit her in person to tell her again that you are interested in a Birkin as a present for your mother. It is quite sweet that are trying to get this for her, and I'm sure she will appreciate your efforts.

Good Luck!

thanks for your advice,lil_fashionista and Mistikat, both of you are so nice and helpful ,I have already tried my best to get it for nearly 8 months, but now I feel bad about the sa and the hermes store, they make me Anxiety,I think maybe I should give up,I would like to buy my mum a chanel suit instead.

I feel your pain. If you really and truly want a birkin, kelly or constance, head to a reseller. The Chanel suit is a nice thought but the only minus is how many times is she going to wear it compared to a purse? Granted you can at least purchase Chanel a heck of a lot easier than anything beginning with the letter "H".

Yes you are right, i will try the next year.

I would like to bump this thread. I'm visiting Montreal (for the first time!) in 3 weeks and am curious as to the selection at this H. Are the prices really astronomical? I'm definitely planning to buy a memento from H Montreal to commemorate my trip with the BF but if the prices are nuts then I may just reconsider.....any help would be MUCH appreciated!! Thanks! :smile1:

hi Genie! An early welcome to Canada!

We were in Montreal Hermes at the beginning of the month. There was lots of merchandise in the Hermes boutique in Holt Renfrew on Sherbrooke St & my SA told me that the new season stock would be arriving in Canada the following week. You should have a decent selection. We do have a hidden luxury tax of 17% then the HST of 13%. Unfortunately either of these are refundable.

There are a few very nice consignment shops usually with a decent selection of Hermes scarves & sometimes other merchandise if you are looking for deals.

The museum just down the street from H is well worth a visit.

Not sure what you are referring to in terms of a "hidden luxury tax"?

The tax in Quebec is higher than 13 percent, however:
