I have the MC speedy and it is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. It's one of the most beautiful bags ever made It is a classic LV and will NEVER go out of style.

I just bought the Chanel black large caviar tote.....adore it, such a classic, wears very well because of the caviar leather, BUT, the MC speedy, according to several LV industry types I've talked to, is a new classic and not just a passing fad............only thing is, the speedy is not a shoulder bag I don't think....and that might be significant? also a little bit more of a "fun flirty" look, while the Chanel is timeless and more sedate (but not conservative). What is your lifestyle; hand carry or shoulder bag preference, as well as emotional yearning? (believe me, i have not put this much introspection into what career path to take LOL) Either way though, they are both incredible bags

This doesn't help - but BOTH?!? I love both!! Depends on where you're at in life (handheld vs. shoulder fits in with your lifestyle?) and what purpose you want the bag for - both are great bags!
