Monistat chafing gel as a face primer?

^^ I've heard that some girls have had blackheads from the Monistat Chafing Gel. But IMO I don't think they're removing all of their makeup/primer completely before going to sleep. Honestly, if you routinely remove all your makeup with a good makeup remover and exfoliate regularly, you shouldn't have a problem. I've been using this as a primer for at least 2-3 months, and I've not have a break-out or clogged pores. And I have super acne-prone skin!

Ugh I spent a good 20 minute in Duane Reade last night just scouring over the wall of Monistat products/condoms/douches/lubes/etc and nothing!! I must have looked like I was having serious issues downtown!!!

I'm starting to think DR doesn't carry it. Next stop CVS...

You ladies have gotten me SOLD! I just ordered my DOUBLE 3-packs from Amazon.com and with free 2-day shipping, I should get it by Friday and it came out to be about $6/tube. Yup. 6 tubes of this stuff and I am hopeful that it works.

And if it doesnt, I could always use it for chaffing issues in the summer...not that I have chaffing issues. *ahem*

So, I'm on day 3 of using this and I'm pretty pleased. It seems to last all day and provide a lasting, matte finish. I have to reapply powder much less frequently using this. This is important to me because I'm in Texas, where it is usually 100+ for 45-60 days during the summer.

This weekend I'm doing an outdoor museum event so I'm anxious to try this out and see how it holds up.

makes sense! i just purchased elemis facial wash and so far am very pleased with it. i think (hope!) it'll be wonderful for those days i am wearing makeup.

My 6-pack of Monistat chaffing cream came today and I could not wait til tomorrow. I just applied it on now and then put on my mineral makeup as usual and it does make a big difference!

My face looks matt...almost airbrushed. Pretty cool. The true test is to see whether I break out from using this stuff. I will try to report back in a couple of weeks. So far so good.

I'm pretty certain Duane Reade doesn't carry it (at least they didn't last spring). I found mine at CVS.

I've been using this stuff for about a couple of weeks now. i love it. you do have to work fast with it to get a layer on your skin because then it starts to dry up and clump sort of. but once its on the face, its awesome! i went out to a concert, came back home and my face still looked awesome. it just needed a slight powdering for some shine, but considering i was at a concert with all sorts of sweatiness around me, i think it did a pretty good job!!!

I think it works okay, but I'm not as impressed as some others have been. I still think that Dr. Brandt Pores No More is WAY better than this. Pores No More is a tinted primer so it not only fills in, but it also hides large pores. I will continue to spend the extra money for my Pores No More instead of the Monistat.
