Mixing LV with Non-LV?

Is the Burberry all the yellow check? Because if so, then no I wouldn't. It'd be too much to wear that print in the boots, scarf, and a tote. Then again I'm British so we have slightly distorted views of the traditional Burberry check.

I would only wear one piece with very visible/obvious logos, but that's just me. Subtler logos are OK, you can wear a few more of those perhaps.

My Burberry is the traditional check, BUT all black, so not at all visible that it's BB ... which is why I got it. I also don't like the traditional BB print.

When I was leaving campus today I saw a professor wearing a Dooney bag and a Burberry bag at the same time. It's not LV but...the mixing of brands...well...I think it depends on how you do it. She was wearing all black and then just had the two hand bags so it looked ok.

I think it's ok to mix brands most of the time...but honestly I personally wouldn't mix big things such as a mono LV bag & Coach Shoes & Burberry Scarf. That would make me feel weird to have all these designs on... but if YOU like that sort of get up, then DO IT! Have fun with what you have. There is no official rulebook to follow.

How much brand-mixing is acceptable (if any), when the items are visible?

Even when I carry a burberry tote, I use my LV wallet. I don't think twice about that. However, I'm thinking about getting Burberry rain boots (and a scarf, if one hits me). But will this look too "label whoreish" if I carry an LV at the same time? I generally only carry damier bags, but wallets are mono.

Just curious! I can't decide if I would think someone was unreasonably logo-ed out if they had that on.

I always mix labels. I always carry my LV Suhali wallet, LV vintage brag book (pictures), my vintage Epi checkbook holder, my LV Vernis gold pochette, my LV sunglasses and LV key chains. My handbags, though, change depending upon my mood, outfit, etc. Sometimes I'm carrying all LV; other days I'm mixing labels by carrying a different designer bag, but all of the items inside are LV.

I will use my LV wallet with my Burberry or Chanel bag. But I won't use another brand in my LV bags.
And I wouldn't wear a lot of visible logos with other logos.

I think what you described sounded just fine! Sorry the scarf didn't work out for you, but I'm glad you liked the boots, I'm sure it will look great. I was going to look for a burberry trench and scarf here in the next few days and I plan on carrying my LV bags with the trench and scarf! I think as long as you like and love it, you'll be able to carry it off!

I mix brands all the time. Hell, I don't even own a LV bag! Whether I'm using a Balenciaga or a Marc by Marc Jacobs, I always have my vernis Cles with me. Sometimes I use the LV Zippy Coin Purse and other times I use different wallets. I just ordered a Margiela. I have cheapo $9 makeup cases and a Club Monaco pouch for my camera. *shrug*

I would go nuts if I couldn't mix. I never like everything from a certain brand. I just buy what I like.

I have a coach wristlet that I love, for personal reasons and because I like the look of it. I was carrying it in my speedy 30 a month and a half ago when Iwas away on a trip to New York. I was looking in LV and was pulling out my blackberry (it's home is in the wristlet) and an SA said "You carry coach with LV? Really?" and looked at me really strangely.

Then a customer said a couple of minutes later to the SA "I wouldn't be caught dead putting that inferior product in my Louis."

Am I really rare? I mean, I put my $0.99 lip balm in it too. Is that wrong?

IMO??? those comments were rude. and the customer's comment.. what ever they say behind your back and can't hear, no big deal. but within ear shot? that is messed up.

i don't spend a lot of money on what i put on the inside of any of my LV's or Fendi's. i use an old beat up brighton wallet. very functional. then to protect the inside of my bag i use a GWP cosmetic case that is leak proof. of course i would like to have a "functional" LV or other high end designer wallet , but i rather use that $750 on another bag.
i do have a mono pouchette which i do like and that's it..
maybe someday if i stumble upon a nice good used LV or other high end designer wallet that is "functional" like my brighton , maybe i would buy it. but not because its valued higher, because i like it..
that said.. i like my old brighton wallet.. even though i don't like the company Brighton. (long story) :p
