How much brand-mixing is acceptable (if any), when the items are visible?

Even when I carry a burberry tote, I use my LV wallet. I don't think twice about that. However, I'm thinking about getting Burberry rain boots (and a scarf, if one hits me). But will this look too "label whoreish" if I carry an LV at the same time? I generally only carry damier bags, but wallets are mono.

Just curious! I can't decide if I would think someone was unreasonably logo-ed out if they had that on.

I wonder the same thing. I only have 1 wallet (Burberry) and I use it with all my bags--LV, Gucci, Burberry and Fendi. Although it is plain brown so it matches. However with my clothes I do not mix labels. I have the same concern you do--Looks like a label hound.

if you like it, i love it! life is too short to worry about others. some ppl considering carrying a mono bag being "label whoreish".

as far as mix/matching goes i primarly stick to LV but have an eiffel longchamp tote that i carry at times but ppl prob dont even know what it is.

I don't think it is a big deal when it comes to mixing your wallet and purse but I would not wear Burberry rainboots and a LV Mono bag for example - too mutch IMO. I think it just depends on the items and how bold the prints are. I usually like to have one item pop and the rest of my outfit more subtle. It is all about what YOU are comfortable with and like someone else said, people might think carrying a Mono bag is too mutch by itself/label overload (which I totally don't think) so you have to do what you feel comfortable with. No matter what you wear, someone's going to have something to say about it! LOL

But do you think Burberry boots with a damier bag is too crazy? Come to think of it though, I think it's just as excessive to have a BB bag with BB boots. I love my LVs and don't want to NOT use them because I can't find boots, KWIM? (And I'm just not a fan of the Hunter ones.)

I have SLGs spanning brands and don't care. Because they're generally not seen except in isolation.

(BTW sarafina jealous of your chanel bag in your avatar. Gorgeous!)

I only see it as being over the top if you're wearing a ton of designer items that are all full of logos or sig prints - so like a mono bag with mono belt with Burberry gloves, hat, shoes and scarf haha. You see what I mean? Even if everything you have on is designer it matters more that it isn't all BAM - DESIGNER!! about it, so if you had a damier or epi bag and maybe a scarf and shoes in burberry that should be fine.

That would be fine I think :smile1:

I have no problem with mixing several designers. If it's raining (which doesn't happen that often here in LA), I wear my blue trench with pink fendi rain boots and my burberry pink/blue scarf and I still use my speedy. Honestly, to me it's just a bag and a scarf and some boots, I never even thought that I was wearing too many labels!

in my opinion, its the same as mixing patterns and colours - it it all goes together, then its fine. If you have a hunch it might be too "buissy", then it probably is ...
