Happy to contribute to this thread! Just got this at FSH. It’s a Birkin 25 and called the côte à côte tuffetage, with bleu saphir velvet, caban Swift and Permabrass hardware. My SA said it was new for this season. It also comes in black velvet but we both thought the bleu saphir was more special. It is a gorgeous rich color. Oh and it came with a little lint brush lol.

Thank you so much!! I never thought of it like that- but yes I totally see it now!! I do find myself "petting" it quite often when I'm using it, lol.

880, your bags are lovely - what leather are they? Great thread, too!

I have a couple of toile/leather birkins and a vibrato one. I really like how lightweight the bags are compared to their leather versions.

I love all your bags ans your taste. I think this pattern from the 2002 that you passed on looks like the trees in one of my favorite CSGM prints Sieste au Paradis (I have mul colorways) wow. ive owned hermes treated silk. bags before (like the one that zipped into a leather case, maybe called the silky pop. Those were pretty sturdy. I’m wondering if this is the same kind of material. I also wonder if fabric on bags could be sprayed for protection, but not enough to try it myself lol

Awww thanks @880 ! Indeed it is the Sieste au Paradis. As far as the type of silk, I believe it is similar to @DoggieBags ’ Constance. I just don’t trust myself with silk as I have ruined countless silk rtw already that I just avoid it completely.
