If my SA offered me this, I'd get it in a heartbeat! I think black and gold is such a classic combo that will stand the test of time and is my favourite combo ever! BUT that said, you need to be comfortable with the combo too. Sounds like you are a black-and-silver kind of person. Will you be able to carry a black-and-gold piece? Ultimately, it's what your comfort level is and how much you love it! Good luck deciding and let us know what you finally decide on doing! Where are you located btw?

I was and am mostly a SHW person. At some point I was into GHW. Now, I’m open to both - it all depends on a bag. I agree with you, black/gold is timeless especially on 2.55. I’m getting it
Thank you this is so good to hear - it sounds like a great bag that doesn’t get enough air time! I definitely need a more carefree bag that I don’t constantly have to baby. I think I will stick to my choice and wait for my sa to call once it comes inI have both lambskin mini and mini 2.55, and I'd definitely say a black mini 2.55 is much more carefree, less prone to scratch or colour transfer. There are times that I carry it everywhere everyday. It's one of my favourite bags to use
How have you found the structure of the bag over time - especially the top of the flap?

Yea as the leather appears a lot softer than the cf minis - mainly the base of the bag and the flap bowing which I’ve seen from pictures. Someone mentioned the crease in the flap could be due to it being worn crossbody which is how I would wear mine the majority of the time hence the concern.I've been using it quite often for about two years, and hasn't noticed any changes in structure, or additional creasing if that's what you are worried about?
Yes I wear mine cross-body all the time, and I just went in my wardrobe to check - nope, no misshaped bottom or side (actually it's quite sturdy) and no additional creasing on the flap. I'm not sure why other people encountered this problem...So glad you posted this irl photo as I’ve been trying to decide too on this exact bag.

A little story, one of my friends who has a red mini 2.55 accidentally got a stain on the front when going out with her family a couple months ago. I looked at the photo and it kinda looked like some oil-y stuff, so I told her to drive to a boutique asap and let the staff examine the stain and maybe they know how to remove it. But by the time she arrived at the boutique the stain is no longer noticeable, hence confused staff and embarrassed friend
Maybe it was just some water... anyway the bag is not as fragile as some think

I spoke to my SA at Harrods and she said they will have Mini flaps tomorrow (when 22P launches) in metallic silver, gold, purple and green! 
This bag is really hard to find! I'd buy it in a heart beat.
I'm in the same boat but I was told by stores where I am, that they've reserved them for customers. In the U.S, today was launch day, but the only available bags were in other colors.
