It is just called as mini flap ,code is AS 1226 .Its similar in drop to rectangular mini . Retail at £2720

Hi everyone! I am completely new to the Chanel world but I am very interested in the mini rectangular flap as my first. Is it true that you'll have to have a purchase history to be offered this bag? I've heard that you do but also know someone who got one just by inquiring. Also, I will be in Los Angeles next week and will probably stop by the boutiques there. Anyone know if inventory in a particular store is better in SoCal? Thanks so much!

No you do not need purchase history to be offered the bag. You do need purchase history to shop remotely or over the phone at the standalone boutiques. However some department store boutiques may/may not let you order the bag without visiting the store.
You can walk in and if the item is available its yours, but generally the minis are hard to get so it is unlikely. They usually sell before hitting the floor.

Sorry I forgot to include that you can ask the SA to add you to a list if the store has it.
Just note that there are very conflicting responses from different stores as some people on TPF say their SA informed them that the boutique operates as first come first serve (so you might just get it on your first try!), while others have wait lists.
If you end up not getting a mini and purchase something else, you can definitely call around to other stores and see if they have any. They will be able to help now that you have a purchase history even if it is just one small item!

That is actually how my friend got her mini! Although she had to wait a few months but I am in no rush either. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thats also how I got mine! I didn’t expect anything but a month later my SA texted me that my bag was ready for me to pick up! Totally took me by surprise.
