She has defined herself through outrageous actions, this year - and it looks as if the festive season will be no different for Miley Cyrus.

The chart-topping pop star, who caused controversy when she performed at the VMAs with Robin Thicke in August, has posted new images of herself partying backstage at the Miami Jingle Ball before heading to LIV nightclub.

The photographs, which are sure to annoy her feminist critics, show her twerking against a door, flirting with a troupe of female reindeer dancers and a buxom woman dressed in a Santa Suit.

She is known for her controversial stage appearances.
But Miley Cyrus appears to have caused public outrage yet again when she performed on stage in a what appears to be a real fur coat.

The 21-year-old wore the oversized white fur coat for her Jingle Ball performance at the BB&T Center, in Miami, on December 20.

Beyonce Knowles wrote on her Instagram page along with a photo of herself in a skintight black dress, 'I don't pop molly...'.

It is not the first time the former Disney star has referenced the drug in music.
In her hit single We Can’t Stop, Miley can be heard singing about ‘dancing with Molly.’
She told Rolling Stone magazine: 'Hollywood is a coke town, but weed is so much better. And Molly, too. Those are happy drugs - social drugs. They make you want to be with friends. You're out in the open. You're not in a bathroom.'
'I really don't like coke. It's so gross and so dark. It's like, what are you, from the '90s? Ew.'

Every time she has her tongue out I ask myself "what's so special about it?" and I answer "nothing, nada, it's weird and a bit disgusting." I mean I know we stick our tongue out for a certain reason (sometimes for a fun expression or you just do) but Miley does it as if its a new fashion trend and you have to do it 24/7 which I find.....Ugh. I feel that back a few years ago she was a lot better and dare I say dress prettier? You can dress in a provocative way and feel sexy with good intentions but the way Miley does it... It's like she want people to think she is a freaking stripper/slutty mess. So how can you not have people judge you this way? And to think that people are out to rip her up and smash her down. In fact, Miley you brought this to yourself so people who are criticizing you are the result of you giving off that image. It's a shame really, she could have been an admirable young adult where young girls would look at you as a role model. I'd probably wouldn't let my kids near her if I had any...

Sorry if kids are looking to celebrities to be role models then the parents/family aren't doing their job.

She's a young girl doing what a lot of other girls her age are doing, she just has more money and the spotlight in which to do it, so it's magnified. She isn't doing what many girls/young women before(older) and after (younger) her will do.

While I may not agree with her lifestyle choices, it's her perogative.

That's true but only if we weren't living in such a media induced age and the fact that many young girls watched her show years ago and looked up to her. And it's also true she has a lot of money and can do what she wanted as other girls are doing but it's kind of disheartening to see she's like throwing herself at you like someone who's trying too hard and you kind of ask why....which is all a mystery really. Only she knows.

So parents aren't supposed to let their kids listen to music? The problem that I have as a parent is that she desensitizes the whole drug use issue. She is a hot mess and my daughter isn't going to dress like her (she has no desire to). That's not my problem. Kids that can be influenced easily may think that drugs aren't so bad because this rich celeb uses them and sings about them. Make sense?

but Miley's far from a kid, she's 21. granted I wasn't a popstar but at 21 I had graduated from college and was gainfully employed. it's like she's trying so hard to prove she has grown up and isn't Hannah Montana anymore and instead is acting as far from adulthood as possible.

With her popularity, she could have done something more worthwhile or responsible. Instead she insists on being the poster child for drugs and sex.
