except the exact opposite is true, everyone loves a train wreck. is anyone still discussing the performers with actual talent from the night? didn't think so.
People are still discussing JT's performance, and the overall thought is that it was stellar.
That being said, Miley got exactly what she wanted. Regardless of whether that translates into actual sales is another story. She said on the red carpet when talking to Sway that the "torch" had been passed to her as far as defining moments at the VMA's (i.e. Madonna/Brittney kiss etc) and that she was gonna go all at.
With that being said, it's really sad someone would go this route instead of putting forth the extra effort to give a truly amazing performance. Smh.

I don't either but I'm old school - I don't think "any publicity is good publicity" which is contray to the belief in Hollywood. When 90% of the "talk" about you is to poke fun and in jest, I don't consider that a win either.
On another note, I noticed that twerking was the #1 topic trending - which means that twerking will now share the same fate as other urban euphemisms such as "bling bling" now that Miley has decided to use it to "shock" mainstream America.

This will be my last time int his thread and this is my thoughts and then I am done. I dont know what she is involved in, who is coaching her, or what she thinks she needs to do to look "cool". You cannot under any circumstances tell me this is a normal 20 year old acting out.. that is complete and utter bologna.
However.. she has made me want to work harder and be a better person so I can be a good example for my neice (coming soon) and nephews and one day for my children.. because I will be damned if Miley is going to be a role model for anyone I am close to.
Honestly this goes for the majority of the music industry and now I am very careful what I expose myself to and while I have them around me, what I allow my nephews and soon to be neice be exposed to.
I honestly hope she is rescused or finds help sometime soon.. because if this is a precurser to where the music industry is headed.. you can count me out.
