Micro bags: YES, please or OUT, please?

I personally think people should not waste their time buying these micro bags. I think they are ridiculous. Especially how much some premier designer charge for them.

Get an actual small bag, wallet, or bag charm. Or scarfs, or even shoes over micro bag. :p

I like mini, micro not so much, and there is a difference.

As someone who is fairly petite, some small/medium bags can engulf my frame. I don't really carry that much stuff... wallet or cardholder, keys...maybe a spare granola bar and my mini padlock bag can comfortably fit all of that and a small water bottle.

Clutch wallets on chains is as "micro" as I go.
Trend or not, photos of women wearing 3 or 5 different bags, layering micros with totes & such--ridiculous, imo.
If I was going for pack mule effect, why buy designer bags?
Odd.
Will stick to my 1 big bag. Even though people say, "That looks so huge on you!" sometimes.
Big bags hurt more, when someone annoying gets smacked with them. Minis don't even bruise. ;)

:roflmfao:

Depends. I'll happily use them if and only if they can fit my personal cellphone, my work phone, and my keyholder. Oftentimes women's clothes just don't have pockets, and I don't like running around in the summer with all my things in my hands (that aren't enough to fill up a whole purse anyways). So the question really is, would you rather lug around a mostly empty purse or use a mini/micro bag?

Small bag yes, micro no.

I don't think they suit me practically or aesthetically either anyway but I've seen some people carry the look (no pun intended)

Never been a fan. Medium sized handbags are the smallest I like for everyday. I have a couple of small bags (but not tiny!) which still fit wallet, keys, mobile, etc. for special occasions (e.g. a gold Mulberry lily I only really wear to parties and weddings.

+1 Even small bags are not practical for me on a regular basis, much less a microbag. Also, I am a relatively tall woman with a medium build. I would look as if I were carrying a child's toy purse. Totally unappealing to me.

I never liked tiny bags until this Christmas... We were staying at in-laws home ( they have a big house) and I was waiting for a call on my cell phone. It was such a pain in a neck to check where I put the phone last time and carry it all over in my hands . I wish I would have a micro/ mini crossbody for this occasion. It would be like an additional pocket. I realized I needed bag to carry cellphone, cigar and cutter and a lighter. Thats all.

I'd say mini bags yes, micro bags no. I usually never go with fashion; once a trend is starting to lose its thunder, I might get interested. For work, I have to carry a backpack plus a tote, so in my free time I've started carrying small bags. Just bought my first mini sized bag a few mths ago and am loving it! A mini (around 5-6 x 6-8 inches) will fit the things I need for a quick trip to the shops, dinner or a date; I also use one for travel to carry my absolute necessities, everything else goes in my backpack/tote.
I'm 6'1" and very busty&hippy so if I tried to carry a micro bag, it'd just look like I was walking around with a coin purse. The bag would look ridiculously tiny and I'd look even bigger and more scary than I do now! :lolots:

I love tiny bags that only fit a cellphone, card holder, keys and a lipstick! Don't care if it's a micro version of a larger model or its own style as long as it looks good and is functional, sometimes I don't need more and it would be ridiculous to carry a larger bag. Wristlet/clutch sized bags with a cross body strap are the best since I like having my hands free. I'm actually glad it's a trend now since it means there are more options to choose from, but I wouldn't buy a high end luxury bag this small due to the price tag not matching what you get. To each their own!

Yes to mini, no to micro for the simple reason I find proportion as important in your wardrobe as it is when looking for a bag. Most micro bags only look proportionate when carried by children.

I remember seeing a Paris Fashion Week picture of someone holding a micro with the tip of 3 fingers and a thumb, because the handle couldn't fit all fingers. Imagine a micro shoe trend? *runs*

Anyone can pull off a small, medium or large bag, as long as they are proportionate to their bodytype and height (considering bag size preference and occasion appropriateness, of course).

I'm only 5'5", about 100 lbs and I find the most flattering large bags on me are long, narrow, with short straps and won't go far past my waist if worn on the shoulder. I like small and medium shoulder bags with short straps that wear above the waist and draw your eyes up, since I'm not tall. I prefer my medium Chanel flap worn double strap, than the single strap trend.
