Blowing the dust off this thread.

I was at Great Lakes Crossing, yesterday. They had the Phoebes and the N/S Madison Tote. The prices tags had the "F" in front of the serial number. However, there was no "F" on the tag inside the bags. And, not even all the price tags had the "F." I compared two totes. One had the "F" and one did not. However, the serial number was the same. The SA said they got the bags in from FP earlier in the week.

The Madison bags were 50/20.

There were no deletes. And, most of the activity was around the SLGs in the clearance section of the store.

Clearance was 50/30.

I was really surprised to see the Madison bags. That store NEVER has anything good.

Thanks for the update. Haven't been to GLC in ages and the last time that I was, they didn't have anything worth mentioning :(

Totally forgot to update this after going to GLC yesterday, but let me say it was PACKED with people...but I couldn't find any deletes in any section. :(

The new Phoebes were out and also what looked like the MFF version of the minetta; everything not clearance was 50% off. The fobs were nothing special and while the clearance was 50% off plus an extra 30%, the only thing there aside from MFF stuff was a mens Bleecker striped tote.

All in all, I left empty handed, which seems to usually be the case at this location.

I'm bumping this thread, as I was. Just recently at BR but couldn't believe what I saw! Where is the leather. Crossgrain and coated canvas? Crossgrain does not equal real leather. Better stuff at Wilson's.

Crossgrain is absolutely real leather, and more durable than pebble/grain or calfskin, the same as saffiano at Michael Kors, Tory Burch, or even Prada. Perhaps you don't like it, but for people who are tough on their bags (or can only afford one bag per year) and still want leather, crossgrain is a great option. I mean, to be honest, if my turnlock Borough wasn't crossgrain, I probably would have caused some serious damage to it by now.

Well, thanks, it's good to know it is leather, it doesn't have the hand-feel I'm used to. You are right, a lot of designers are using it. They all got the same idea at the same time.

I love my crossgrain floral borough as well!

I totally get that--some people prefer softer or more delicate leathers, and others don't care as long as the design of the bag is nice. For me, as well as some other consumers, saffiano and crossgrain have been minor miracles.

I went to GLC yesterday. They had ZERO deletes and one tiny clearance section with some outlet styles. This store never really has anything good (I've yet to find anything there) but to see nothing was shocking. I was there three weeks ago as well and again, no deletes; I thought it was a fluke but going yesterday and seeing nothing again kinda confirmed that this store is a dud. That's really the only outlet I go to anymore since I've moved. Sorry I don't have better updates!

^ GLC is far from me, 2 1/2 hours. I was thinking that might have something more. Birch Run keeps saying they have nothing. They are 45 min away. West Branch is an hour and 15 min away. I think West Branch gets a little more, but they get onezie twozies. Coach doesnt want to sell in Michigan, apparently.

The only other one I go to is Howell, which used to be the closest one to me. This store was one that I frequently found goodies to bring home. However, it's been over a year since I was last there. I'm planning to go in a couple weeks so I'll update then...
