Michael Kors or Coach?

I don't understand all the animosity towards MK? It's just another brand. I guess when one gets too popular, there are those that try to tear you down. It is all tied in with jealousy, hatred and competition which are all related to evil. People should be more loving and if they see something makes someone happy, just smile and enjoy it. That s what love is all about, enjoying seeing others happy.MK brings out strong emotions in people. Most people really love his brand or really hate it. I don't see that changing until he creates handbags with his own signature style in the forefront. I prefer Coach because I grew up loving the brand. For MK, I'm indifferent. I like some of his bags but not enough to buy.
I don't think it has anything to do with jealousy.....one has to wonder why so many have the same feelings toward MK.....we can't all be jealous.....,,
Well, what else would it be?? MK is the number one most popular brand right now and there are people trying to tear it down, unsuccessfully, I might add. Perhaps they are just sick of seeing so many of them everywhere? There is also a reason for that! lol! So whatever it is, Michael is crying all the way to the bank!

With MK I really like his high end handbag designs (it shows quality, but I haven't seen one person IRL carry one), but the Michael by Michael Kors or whatever the $200-$400 range bags fall into are copied from all over. Even Coach has gotten into that category with the copy cat bags as of late but not quite to the extent that I see with M by MK. That line probably has thousands of SKUs.
I don't really care if a brand 'copies' or is inspired by other brands although I haven't seen it to the extent some accuse kors of. I think his bags always have a twist or signature touch personally. But anyway, I couldn't careless, as long as the bag is well made and quality I'll buy it, at the right price of course. Kors is popular because his bags are classy and usually $300 or less depending on sales, for the same look as $500-$1,000 bags. Not everyone spends thousands on purses.
I am glad you love your MK. Hmm, I don't see people stating non-favorable opinions as always speaking with evil intent because the same can be said about favorable opinions. People have a strong like or dislike for particular things that are important to them. Some people might favor strong original styles while others might want the look for less. MK seems to go after the latter group that repeals the first group of buyers. At the end of it all I say buy what you love and be happy while not focusing on what other people value.

I say buy a bag for the overall design that works for you, not necessarily who MAKES the bag.
I have more important things to worry about than who made the bag I'm carrying....if the functionality is there for me and the price and quality are right then I'll buy the bag.
I never care what others are carrying....as for the OP's question? Both brands have some lovely bags. I've owned MK wallets but not his bags. I've owned several Coach bags.

Well, this the second or third thread about this and it is apparent that SOMEONE, perhaps the person that started,this, YET ANOTHER thread, to compare apples with oranges? ( Coach & Michael KORS) Has some sort of issue with Michael Kors. MK gets so much criticism and is it really necessary?? It is apparent MK is VERY popular and in demand, So what's the problem? Why does this keep coming up? As another poster stated, are we really going to do this again?? It's getting old and where does it get us? And why compare Coach to Michael Kors?? Like I said, this is like comparing apples to oranges. lo!! How come there are no threads comparing Louis Vuitton to Prada?? lol! This is just sillY!
I own both Coach and Michael Kors and appreciate the beauty in both of them.I will always love the Coach glove tanned leather and I am glad to hear they are going back to what made them famous in the first place.There is NOTHING finer than the Coach glove tanned leather. However, right now I am thrilled with MK because of his edgy designs. He really does have MANY of his own beautiful designs, that so many have never even seen!!. Just because a COUPLE of his bags are similar to other designers, do folks really think he has NONE of his own?? And don't ALL designers have some similar looking bags?? Here is a Michael Kors Lamb leather tote Please tell me who this is duplicating and is 500.00 really that cheap??

Some brands mean different things to different people. I don't know a lot about MK bags except for the ones that I see others carrying or in the store. Maybe you can create a thread about his bags and share the beauty of all of his bags with others. Only a lover of the brand can help change the image of the brand. Focusing on the positives of the brand will get many admires while ignoring the naysayers because every brand has them. Please enjoy your MK bags.
You are so right! And that is exactly what I am trying to do by showing you these beautiful bags and all the pics I have posted. . It's kind of sad over in our MK forum that they keep showing the same boxy looking saffiano bags, over and over. If I see one more Selma or Hamilton, I am going to scream! lol! . MK has so many other stunning bags that no one even looks at and I know that is part of why, so many are like , HUH?? lol!
I will take your advise and continue to focus on the positive about this brand, because there really is so much more to MK than what we typically see. . Here is another of my favorites from MK. It is called the MK WOODSIDE. Look at those gorgeous braided leather straps!.MK really does have some amazing soft leather bags that no one ever sees.

That's awesome. I do the same for the brands I'm crazy about. Chloe got a lot of naysayers last year, but now more people appreciate the brand. Popular fashion changes like the wind.
