For anyone interested, I called MK (Madison Ave store), and I was told that the logo bag's handles are leather, but the body is 100% pvc (not "coated canvas" as are the LV).

Too bad. :(

I was looking to the logo bag as an alternative to a solid-brown/tan bag because *in my warped way of thinking, lol* I thought maybe the logo pattern with its varying shades of tan/beige/brown in the design might somehow work better at pulling in with a black outfit (ie, bright colored top + black pant). I'm not a scarf type person. :/ I do have jewelry with brown in it, so I'll still try that out.

Thanks for the info re pvc vs coated canvas, etc.
I think I'll call the MK store and ask if their logo bags are coated canvas. That would make a difference to me.

If it helps any the only brown and tan canvas I use is from Rioni. I have 3 pieces and they are an awesome , well made durable brand. They have the R logo but the way it is done you would never know it. Lots of people do not like them because they look at lot like an Lv , but honestly they were around with their brown and tans Long before MK and a lot of people love the MK logo. It is worth checking out for a coated canvas bag. :-).

I don't mind logo bags, depends on the outfit and the place, I just prefer solid leather, the Hamilton is an example of a bag that looks improved in the all-leather version, maybe because the hw is enough.

I have to say, I like to get away from all-leather bags on really hot, sunny days too, but I have my old trustworthies that are canvas and croc or leather trimmed, or a patent leather basket over suede etc. I keep my logo-mania, coated canvas bags for chucking around, picnics and outdoor shows and festivals, when I have better things to do than worry about 'little icecream hands', rain or putting a bag on grass.

Nay...but more in reference to all of his garish logos...His silhouettes are really the most stylish and current of the mid tier designer bags, I find myself very drawn to them when i am out shopping...but, the hardware, the displaying of the name on every bag in a most prominent place, it really does move it down a notch in my opinion. Wish they would make a group of bags (not a part of their highest end label), that would have a more discreet announcing of their name...I would jump on board!

I like the style of the Jet-Set signature tote so I did get it in the black and the vanilla logo and I'll just try to ignore them, LOL. I actually think it is a little more subtle than the LV mono, which I got tired of.

I was looking for some coated canvas or PVC bags for bad weather, or hot weather days but couldn't find anything else I liked at a price I wanted to spend.
