It's the nature of the work they do. Most entertainment publications get access to the stars who move their products by publishing what stars publicists want to be said. They are sent press releases, interview prep, etc that outlines the coverage that is desired, and then then either re-write that info, or repeat it word for word. Most entertainment journalists are not in the business of digging in and investigating stories. So when they are faced with a story like this one about Michael, they repeat what they are told instead of searching for documents,witnesses etc to determine the validity.If we--meaning you, Morgane--can figure this out simply by careful reading, then why are entertainment journalists so lazy when it comes to this story? Serious question.
