"Safe House" helmer Daniel Espinosa is in early talks to helm "The Outsider" for Warner Bros., riding a wave a momentum after the Denzel Washington thriller just crossed the $100 million domestic mark for Universal.
Penned by Andrew Baldwin, "The Outsider" follows a World War II POW broken out by the Yakuza and forced to work for the Japanese crime syndicate. Though no offers have been made, studio has been eyeing Michael Fassbender to star

Yeah, for this and every other movie. Seriously, like 15 other projects/directors have been mentioned in the past year in association with him.

FYI, MF auditioned for Safe House.

LOL! You'd think car geeks would have welcoming arms for people of l'opposite sex :D.

I love the news of a Fass/Espinosa pairing. YEESSSS. Even if it's only speculative (fingers crossed).

Yeah, that didn't last very long. ;)

It seems that Fassy will be working non-stop again in a few months time. Good for him, but maybe he shouldn't spread himself so thin.

FASSBENDER - Quite crazy

Michael Fassbender often plays various parts, which demand a great deal of him. Currently the crossover actor can be admired as a sex addict in “Shame”. On the occasion of the german Premiere of “Haywire” - which is the fourth Premiere he attends after “Jane Eyre”, “A Dangerous Method” and “Shame” within only four months btw - the star, who was born in Heidelberg, told us how he recovers from shooting…

You’ve played the psychoanalyst Carl Jung in “A Dangerous Method”, then a sex addict in “Shame” - How do you manage to stay lucid?

Michael Fassbender: Are you sure, that I manage that? (laughs) Everybody’s a little bit crazy. Some people admit it and the others disavow it.

What do you do to recover from work?
MF: I try to read more - and I’m a slow reader. And I ride my motorcycle. Nowadays traveling mostly means getting onto a plane somewhere on earth and getting “spat out” somewhere else - On a motorcycle you have to struggle through each mile. I find that somehow therapeutic.

Do you feel grown-up as a 34-year-old?
MF: I think life is about discovering things and trying things out. If you’re committed to it, you’re also allowed to be a little bit immature.

(Interview by S. Orlin, TV Spielfilm 6/12)

Nice little tidbit! Do you know if the rest of the Interview article with Michael and Josh Brolin has been leaked? I cant find it anywhere.

Okay, here's the rest of the Interview article. Pardon the bad photography, bad shadows, lighting and blurriness. :smile1:
