Well, with my friend, they way they get around the legality issue of it at her agency is that they're hired as escorts to go to dinner or whatever, but then they negotiate what they'll do for "tips." Most times they don't even bother with dinner... She offers what she'll do for a "tip" (and depending on the vibe she gets from guys, or how they're hung, she'll negotiate different things) and she'll work on the guy and try to get him to ask for more and more things and earn more and more "tips". Sometimes she ends up with a lot!! Sometimes they ask her to call a friend, etc, and then the big money really starts flowing. :graucho:

She is a very unhappy person though. it's weird...she says she's so afraid of falling in love with a guy, because she meets so many nice, rich, successful men. There is a little jealousy there. A lot of them are married, and she envies their wives. :-s

I have to agree on the fact that I too believe that a lot of actors who are becoming more and more famous refrain to sleep with the average Jane for the fear of her running to tabloids or writing her own tell-it-all book. I can understand them hiring an escort especially when it's a high-profile agency where you know discretion is a big thing.
Sorry for your friend.

I know a woman who hired a male escort when she wanted to lose her virginity. She was hitting 30 and "wanted to know what the hu-bub was about" as she said. She says she doesn't regret it and it ended up being a good experience.

That's the best idea ever! At least you know that your first time will be with an experienced lover who get's paid to not be selfish. Teenagers, take note!

I second this. This is an absolutely great idea. Especially for those "older" virgins it's the perfect setting in a way more secure and experienced environment.

I am constantly tempted to hire a gigolo. Just imagine a night where it's all about you, and you get to pick a fine man to do whatever your heart desires!! Swoon.

I'd be interested in that as well. But sadly I guess those escort agencies (at least the high-profile ones) are only available in big cities. I'd be really curious to see how such an evening will look like. I mean what do you do when you don't connect on any level? Because I can't sleep with a guy when I think he's a total dumba*s. Or I just simply don't like him.

Gosling on the other hand can stop by any time. He could give Fassy a run for his money.

WTF!!! Ryan is the shizz.

Guuurrrll!!! *high five*
Ryan Gosling can call me anytime. :graucho:

Like so many fellow Canadians, I used to have a massive crush on Moist's David Usher. But he only got finer as he got older, unlike others (like Val Kilmer) ;) Hallelujah for age-defying asian genes!

Then and now:

He looks a bit like Keanu Reeves. :p

Haven't heard about him before either but damn. :D And yes I agree, Keanu Reeves vibes going on here.

Here are some German links. The rate of Fassdong news is rising due to the fact that Shame has its German release today.
First a good review of the movie also noting that Shame got snubbed for an Oscar nod because the Americans can't handle the nudity. :p

And here's a good interview from a few days back about Shame and sex addiction and Blueberry's favorite habit of Michael - smoking.

Show hands if somebody wants me to translate it properly (meaning no Google translation rubbish). Btw, Shame is rated as a movie you can watch from being 16 years old on here which shows the priority here. Because Drive is rated 18 because of all the violence so you see it's reverse to the American rating where violence is less harmful than a d*ck.

But Joel is too much a manwhore for you?

LOL...

Or manwhore for free = no

Manwhore for money= yes!!!

I do not like dumb guys either but for me it's also important that the guy wants me for me , not for money , so I 'd not hire an escort.

But of course other can do that.

;)

Hahahaha, exactly. He's giving it away for free. Not acceptable.
And re the guy wanting me for me. Yeah it's true that would be ideal but ... well you know a girl has "needs". :graucho: And if I can be totally superficial and choose a good looking guy from a catalogue I'll take that chance. :D But that's all hypothetical since I don't have the money or the availability of such a service.

And nothing is wrong with that.

But people are different , not everyone has the same " needs".

:dothewave:

Glad to know there's no such funky double standard affecting Shame's rating in German cinemas. It was the same here in Québec, it got a 16+ rating (but Drive received 13+ :D).

Michael Fassbender about addictions

Like a boy who got up to something Michael Fassbender is standing at the window of his suite in the Berlin Regent Hotel to indulge into his addiction. He’s smoking! In his new movie “Shame” he’s addicted to something else – sex! A daring role for the new movie star who’s really called attention to himself for the first time in Quentin Tarantino’s “Inglorious Basterds”. And since then he’s dominating in blockbusters like “X-Men”, “A Dangerous Method” and “Jane Eyre” and following this he gets beaten up by a woman in “Haywire”. Fassbender is desired by the ladies but is supposed to be single right now. He’s born 1977 in Heidelberg and has a German father.

Mr. Fassbender, do you like to do the interview in German?

MF: (in broken German) You can talk in German, I answer in English. My German is really bad when I have to talk but I can understand almost everything.

Do you still have a connection to your German roots?

MF: Of course, I still have relatives in Heidelberg I visit as often as I can. Heidelberg is a beautiful romantic city that my parents mostly associate much with. I myself feel more like an European and am really proud that Europe where you used to smash your heads in grew together so well as a whole and you can travel well from England to Germany, from France to Italy.

Your new movie takes place in New York and you play a sex addict in it walking around naked in front of the camera. Didn’t you have any shame?

MF: No but it was downright embarrassing (laughing)! No, no feelings of shame, I only feel shame if I have to admit a mistake in front of others.

How much trust do you have to have for a director who’s telling you to get butt naked?

MF: Well I constantly ran away from him because he tried to pull my pants down (laughing). No just kidding! I had to do it and I said to the director he should set up his camera wherever he wants and then we simply shot. I knew what I got into. It’s about sexual addiction, and for this such scenes are necessary.

How did friends and family react?

MF: With my friends I would’ve wished the seat would swallow me but I watched “Shame” with my parents and my sister. I warned them about the heavy scenes in the movie beforehand. They just said you have to stand by your choices. Afterwards they all agreed it’s a great movie. Honestly, we’re all grown up now.

to be continued...

What else are you addicted to except nicotin?

MF: Life is about holding the balance and if you loose it everything can happen. So you have to keep an eye on your passions. With me it’s cigarettes, sometimes I like to have a drink, and at work I can be very excessive. Every curious human being has his obsessions and makes his experiences with it. Ultimately you have to be able to pay attention to what is really healthy for you.

What would you describe as “healthy sexuality”?

MF: I don’t know exactly but I think two lovers should complement each other to find satisfaction. There are people who desperately like to announce they have a lot of sex. That itself is not a dysfunction and is comparable to someone who likes to take a drink in the evening. You talk about addiction when you need a drink in the morning to even function and that’s the same with the character in “Shame”. Brandon is not able to build a relationship to himself or others because of the sex addiction, that’s the difference.

Michael Douglas admitted to his sex addiction years ago. Are actors easier subjected to it?

MF: Absolutely! When you’re in the public eye you get a lot of attention even if you’re only in a restaurant or bar privately. The world of glamour can be seducing because a lot more opportunities turn up. When Michael Douglas admitted it everyone thought actors are just spoiled. The actual problem hasn’t been recognized, on the contrary it was laughed about. Today we know it’s an addiction to be taken seriously.

One week after “Shame” “Haywire” will be released where you get beaten up by a woman. Was that another challenge?

MF: Gina Carano is a real fighter. She earned her living with that and is in the best physical shape. That’s why we could carry the fights to the extreme. I know in the movie it looks like we’re crazy to beat the cr*p out of each other but in reality everything was choreographed into the littlest detail. So for us it felt like we’re dancing with each other.

For “Hunger” you actually starved yourself, for “Shame” you got naked – it seems as if there’s nothing that would stop you.

MF: Well, I’m curious and want to learn as much as possible. Someday we all die and I at least want to say to myself I did a lot. But it also depends on what’s tempting me, and I’d never risk my health. When I shot “Hunger” I lost weight under the surveillance of a doctor who said I can’t weigh less than 58 kg otherwise all my inner organs will suffer. I stuck to that.

Let’s get back to your actual addiction: How many cigarettes a day do you smoke?

MF: Less than most would think but it also depends on how I feel. On bad days I smoke a whole package, on good days it’s only 7 cigarettes.
