From Paris to London? Nice!

Isn't it? Now if only there was the same for Montreal-NY. If only there were rapid-speed trains at all in North America.

Haha Penny, I think it's because I'm constantly amazed by the incompétence of Charle de Gaulle workers. Next to that, l'Eurostar is a dream. Yes, Gare du Nord and the whole surrounding area... ça craint. But I was living at the time dans le 92 (ça craint 3 fois pire) ... ;)

Eliza's second video

That girl is desperate  it's not even funny anymore (more like borderline creepy at this point) I root for Mindy Kalling instead :p

Vivre dans le 92 ça craint aussi  ;)

I'm planning a trip back to Paris to see my cousin so I might just take this Eurostar to London.

Go get him ;)

The trick is just to book it as soon as possible in advance to benefit from the really cheap prices. Same rule for both train and flight. But the good thing about the train is that you can bring 6 luggages and they don't bat an eyelash, whereas if you get a low-cost flight and don't want to pay for the luggage, they're ****ing strict with the carry-on you're allowed. Just a head's up!

I'm a serious student too can't book a flight now (even if I wanted to :shucks:) maybe next year :graucho: I'll probably live a few months in London  but not in Hackney though :p
How old are you Artica? (if you don't mind answering)

Older than you and younger than Fassy. ;)

Hackney has become a very popular place to live. Filled with hipsters with daddy's money. There are still some very rough areas in the borough. Some of it is pure ghetto.

When you live in NY money is always a big issue. Everything is so fracking expensive (probably in Paris too) I suggests he drops by the Tribeca Film Festival to see me....um...see some good films..

Same thing here in LDN. Every time you walk out of the door you're bleeding money.
And the rents are ridiculous.

The other week I had problems with it via Firefox. It kept jamming me back to a certain page even if the thread had gone beyond the 181st page. But everything worked fine on Safari. Maybe if you try that?

I might try google chrome. Perhaps that will solve it. Thanks for the tip. :flowers:

Mustard is right! Book in advance, because the Eurostar prices can be ridi. Booking the ticket via the UK website is a lot more expensive than the other way around as well.

Otherwise you can always book a bus ticket with Eurolines. Cheap, but not very comfy.

So did he just walk over to you and try to chat you up?
More details please! Wait...let me get some popcorn first.

I'm munching on the popcorn too and waiting for more details

Yes :blushing: I don't like bothering people let alone famous ones so I waited until he came up to me at one point during the night, I noticed he was checking me out long before that (probably bc of the dress I was wearing that night :shame:) and we started to talk about the film, and then movies in general and after that random things. He was funny and surprised that I even spoke english and yeah I had the feeling he was flirting/tryin' to get in my pants that night (but again I'm not sure about anything :p) and with Nicole in the room it was a dealbreaker for me anyway (that and the heavy drinking/smoking part). Then I talked to Steve about the movie and 'Hunger' while he was drinking some champagne  (he's funnier than Michael) and other people in the room except Nicole, she was busy taking pictures with people all night long. Voilà, I'd rather keep further details for myself sorry :smile1: Enjoy your popcorn and have a good night ladies ;)

Watching Downtown Abbey right now and I'm obsessed....

I've never watched a single episode. It seems to be everyone's guilty pleasure.

Good for you!! That is a great experience. Thanks for sharing. btw, if it was that apparent that Michael and Nicole were together in Paris than the man has some seriously big cajones to chat up other women right in front of her. I hope she bish-slapped him back to earth and refused him entrance to the sweetshop. ;)
