Just got this in my inbox. Not going to publish on my blog:

So I work at fashion pr company, and today Fassy's name popped up. I listened in and he just fired his stylist because Fassy wasn't too happy with him, also named Michael. That's not the best part, apparently Fassy was supposed to go to some premiere/event last night in NY, but his publicist got wind of the rumor of him getting back together with his ex and was so upset, he flew back to London immediately. His stylist's assistant was actually sent away with the suit he was supposed to wear.

Don't know what to think of this. First of all Michael had been confirmed to attend yesterday's London Film Critics Circle weeks ago. That's why he might have decided to do the Q&A at his local cinema, which was announced by Hackney PH last week. He probably had been informed weeks ago that he won one of the 2 awards and that's why he confirmed his attendance. Not sure he would bail out of an event like this just to go to a premiere of Haywire. He's only in the film for 10 minutes!!

Am shocked to learn that Michael had a stylist. Perhaps he was just hired for the award season. A lot of celebs only use a stylist for red carpet events. In any case, the guy sucked at his job!

Glad to read that Michael has a publicist. I think the fact that none of the big papers and tabloids are picking up the story (yet) might mean that the publicist has gone into damage control mode.

The whole timing of this is way too fishy for my liking.

What we need right now is a little young Fassy to cheer us up. Doesn't he look adorkable?

An article on him from last year assessing his possible hype when all his movies have come out. I curiously wonder who the publicist is they interviewed here but she states herself that he actually don't really need one. Though he's represented by his agent Michael Cooper of CAA.

Interesting read. Ugh... cringing at this part:

"Could he screw it up?" asks the publicist. "Sure, if he pulls a Chris Brown, beats up a girl. Or if he becomes a huge diva." But she thinks that Fassbender has the goods to survive imminent fame.

And I didn't know he was up for the Green Lantern movie. :weird: I haven't seen it, but from what I heard... Yet another bullet dodged!

And I agree Artica. The timing is very fishy. Those pictures suddenly being posted on her imdb page -- kinda creepy too.

EDIT: OMG!!! Young fassy!! That can cheer anyone up. :hbeat:

Michael Fassbender took centre stage even during his formative days in Kerry village

THE smile is unmistakable and even as a youngster Michael Fassbender was clearly in his element entertaining other people.

When he was a member of Fossa Youth Club, the now world-famous Hollywood actor and Golden Globe nominee entertained senior citizens in his home parish by playing his accordion.

Photographer James Houlihan captured a young Fassbender at a social in Fossa near Killarney, Co Kerry, in 1989, where he also joined in the set dancing.

His broad smile clearly demonstrates that the 12-yearold was enjoying himself.

The pictures appear in ‘Second Glance – Fossa and Aghadoe, our History and Heritage', a publication by the historical society in the village where the actor was reared.

Born in Heidelberg in Germany, Mr Fassbender was only a toddler when his parents Josef and Adele, who was originally from Co Antrim, moved to Killarney, where his father took up a job in the German-owned Europe hotel.

The family settled in Fossa, a pretty village by the lakes just a couple of miles outside the town, where Michael and his older sister Catherine attended the local school.

“He also played a bit of football with Fossa GAA Club before we lost him to acting,” recalled Gene Moriarty of Fossa Historical Society, a member of the committee that produced the book. “Hopefully he’ll go from strength to strength. He was always anxious to do well and we take great pleasure in his success.”

The actor, who’s widely tipped to be nominated for an Oscar for his role in the film ‘Shame’, has not forgotten his roots and is a regular visitor home.

“He was in the local one night over Christmas and was getting a terrible ribbing from everyone about the new film,”

Mr Moriarty added. In ‘Shame’, directed by Steve McQueen, the actor plays the part of Brandon Sullivan, a sex addict whose hungers drive him to frequent use of prostitutes, internet porn and porn shops.

His portrayal of the part has already won him a nomination for best actor in the Golden Globes, where he was up against George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Ryan Gosling.

At the awards ceremony in Hollywood, Mr Clooney, who was the eventual winner, joked that the Killarney man had taken over the “frontal nude responsibility” that he once held.

“Really Michael, honestly, you can play golf like this with your hands behind your back,” the actor said of his co-nominee.

The actor was also spotted in The Laurels pub in Killarney just before Christmas where he was catching up with old friends.

“He was really polite and friendly,” one local said.

I don't think it paints him as a guilty party from that story... just CLUELESS to what's going on. I'm just curious now.

Young Fass is equally as adorable as current Fass. There's the signature wide smile...:D

I've had a feeling all along that he's very clueless about what's going on around him. It's been one hell of a week, I'm sure he's a lot wiser now. Let's hope so for his sake.

It's been the most rocky past 48 hours, hasn't it? (that's basically when hell broke loose! Feels like a week's time worth) I was supposed to spend a lot of time off computer, and instead I've concentrated a majority of my time keeping up with the soap opera.

I always had a feeling he was clueless about gossip in general because he doesn't keep up with it (.. or maybe ''voluntary blindness" is more like it). Like, I'd laugh if he didn't even know Zoe was with Penn when she hooked up with him at TIFF... he didn't seem sheepish AT ALL --her body language is a whole different story-.
