I only just now caught onto the fact that there might or might not be a project brewing with Scorsese (THR). Who thinks it's about the jesuit priest project involving Day-Lewis and Del Toro? Would be swell.

And another interesting factoid for those who follow his career arc: he read for something in October in while in New York but didn't get the part; someone else did. Didn't give a hint to Collider's Weintraub on what that failed audition was either, so any bets? I don't think it's Aronofsky's project because that casting rumour made it seem like he was specifically courting Fassbender (offer vs audition).

Scorsese + Daniel Day-Lewis + Michael Fassbender. Universe PLEASE make this happen!!!

Interesting factoid, where did you hear this? I have no idea what movie this is, but "failed auditions" reminds me of "Leap Year". Thank goodness MF didn't get the part. I generally watch romantic comedies with a lower expectation level, but that one looked like it didn't even try.

I wonder who was stupid enough to reject Michael in October. Who ever he/she is, I'm sure they are regretting it now. This Scorsese project NEEDS to happen. This would be beyond perfect. I'd love to see Fassy act with DDL, but their work processes are sooo different aren't they? They might not get along at all.

Saw yesterday's appearance on YouTube... Fassbender acquitted himself pretty nicely! It's one of the few times Letterman actually saw the movie he's asking his guest about (from the way he was itching to ask questions about it), which is very unLetterman.

I wonder if Fassbender's chilled-out and unassuming manner sometimes made him lose some edge at auditions where some casting directors misguidingly looked for ferocious, intense in-character actors during the initial meet and greet. Their loss, really...

Ugh Letterman is getting old... but I told you Viggo was messing with us ;)

OMG Michael what are you doing? Crackin' some jokes with Russian hobos?

Mon dieu, my eyes :D (looks like he's rubbing Robin Williams's butt). Radioman = Robin Williams when he's not doing standup.

I hope Fassbender gets booked for Graham Norton some time close to BAFTA. Can't be that hard to book the man... Norton and him share the same boutique talent agency!

Hi everybody, thought I would drop in and say hi. Have love Michael since 300! but never posted anything before!

Am loving all the pics, etc!! Will be watching Michael later on David Letterman

So while watching Michael on Letterman last night I was noticing how (to me, at least) he certainly didn't look like a man who was being plagued by any type of controversy and I wondered what he must be thinking about this whole thing rearing it's ugly head again.

I had been on his side about not publicly acknowledging the accusations (why add fuel to that attention whore's fire, etc.) but now, especially in light of the fact that his career and fan base are on the quick rise and he's on a bit of a self-promotional tour, I really think that he, via a publicist, should release a statement. If you're innocent, you really need to proclaim your innocence when you're dealing with someone who seems to be willing to go to any length to raise herself up whilst pulling you down.

It seemed like keeping quiet about it worked for a while but this chick is not going to go out quietly. By the way, I have no problem admitting that I don't believe there's any truth to any of the accusations she's made. And I do believe that she's the one behind all of this new bs that's made it's way out of the a$$ of the NY Daily News.

US Weekly (print version) mentioned that Gerard Butler and Fassbender closed out their night on Sunday with a toast at 3 am, no mention at all of her or anyone making out with anyone so.....

What bugs me about Lainey is that she never does any freaking homework, did she even bother googling the original press reports from 2010 or figure out who ROC is and what her history is and how she supports herself? because working off of on NYDN gossip item is super lame. Theoretically, if Lainey was the insider she pretends to be this wouldn't be the first time she'd heard of ROC or of any of the rest of this but it seems clear that it is.

Fassbender just appeared on Lainey's radar this August (before that she didn't really care about him). I don't think she followed the story during realtime when that one hit the web, so I guess she's going with "common sense" approach to this (like probably most people don't know anything of cray cray nor her behaviour would tend to think).

Yes, I do think and hope that team Fassbender (lawyer/publicist/agent) is attuned to this and will say something about it sooner than later, not wait until he's being cornered and getting the last hook punch.

So confusing, how's the rest of the Interview magazine? It cuts abruptly on the website, but maybe it was only a small bit left unsaid.
