Oh, you didn't like her performance? Too bad, I thought the opposite. I went into the cinema all judgmental and looking for an excuse to look down on the Rapace impersonator, but I thought all actors were commendable. Of course, it depends on one's view of how Lisbeth's inner core should be portrayed.
And I had a major case of envy for Daniel Craig's wardrobe , and loved the shabby chic interior décors of the chalet/office/apartments/Martin's house (I kept on thinking of Redzepi's Noma for some reason). Bagberry, Blueberry, is it a good depiction of Scandinavian essence? Anyway, the only thing that tickled me was the massive amount of blatant product placement.
Nope I didn't think she was bad, but I didn't think she was as good as Rapace. One thing that irritated me was her 'Swedish accent'. It was all over the place.
I liked the film though, but I couldn't see where the $100 million went.
Daniel Craig's wardrobe was great. Loved the Acne jeans and that creme waistcoat he was wearing.
Speaking of product placement, McQueen mentioned in a Q&A that they couldn't use any Mac computers for Shame because of the subject matter of the film. Apple obviously had no problem endorsing this film which contains female frontal nudity, lots of violence and death, not to mention 2 violent rape scenes.
