Omg you've not heard of Armond White? Ok, go on twitter and find posts by Rian Johnson (@rcjohnso) who sat next to him at tonight's awards and allegedly live-tweeted all about it. White is an american critic who relishes on his supposed anti-conformity but 98% of what he says is just for the sake of going against the critical current and to purposefully ruffle feathers. It's hilarious if you don't take him seriously because he's such a cankerous sore. I hope filmmakers and actors don't take his reviews seriously because it's always mean-spirited and can induce stomach burns. For example, his favourite films are Jonah Hex, A.I., Jack and Jill. He's so over-the-top that someone even has a fake Armond White account and writes the funniest grumpy fake-tweets!

:giggles: Sorry never heard of him until tonight, so he's just one bitter film critic, who cares about what he have to say then? Still, I don't understand why he would "attack" Michael out of the blue like that, if you didn't like 'Shame' why bother to attend the event in the first place?
Plus, he looks like a total creep  Apparently he got expelled from the building for being a douche with everyone in the room all night long.

He wrote a thesis-like essay on Jack and Jill as if it was a Criterion Corner-style masterpiece :wtf: :coolio:

@Penny: I think it's in jest -- or probably not, but that's how everyone else is taking it, because it's bat**** insane but entertaining as hell. Probably fake too, maybe White isn't there tonight ;)

I see some of you are still up! So after dinner and drinks tonight my friends and I decided to head over to the Intercontinental Hotel (where the event took place) to see if maybe we could get in and catch a glimpse of Michael.

It was seriously the most low key event ever. We got there kind of late but walked right into the lobby which was filled with hotel guests and event attendees taking a break and hanging out.

We took a seat at at table in the bar area where we could see everything. I wanted to be able to see the lobby doors where people from the event would walk out of for a smoke, just in case he'd get the urge.

I had read on Twitter that Michael had just given his speech and was on his way out. Literally right after I read that, I look up from my phone and he's speeding (and I mean SPEEDING - the man is FAST) out the lobby doors to get into his chauffeured car. So I jump out of my chair, race across the lobby, dodging guests and probably looking like I stole something, then calmly walked out the doors and THERE HE FREAKING WAS!!!

Aaaaand... I turned to stone. He'd stopped to take some pics with a couple of people and sign some autographs but was visibly in a hurry. Aaaand... I just stood there. Like a statue. Lol. From the moment I saw him until he got into his car, maybe 15 seconds went by. That's how quickly it went.

Some things I noted:
He looked better in person (to me, anyway) than he looked in those red carpet photos from tonight. He is SUPER skinny in person. I was actually taken aback by it. But he still looked so good. He's definitely tall enough (you know we all have our idea of what "tall enough" is). I'm 5 feet 3 inches, so for me, he was the perfect height. He was definitely itching to get the hell out of there! Finally, I'm not sure if I mentioned it before but he is crazy skinny. :p

I didn't want to further detain him so I didn't call out his name or run up to him to ask for a photo/autograph. I have a thing about "bothering" people and I didn't want to be that girl. Besides, it was more than enough to finally see him in person. Ugh, the man is so beautiful...in all his skinny glory:laugh:

I still have one more opportunity to meet him at the Golden Globes, I guess. But I'm pretty satisfied with having seen him tonight! :smile1:

Nice! I'm 5'3 as well and when I tell people he was the perfect height they just dint get it! LOL And his crazy metabolism hits again. He has said he has a hard time keeping weight :p The event was pretty boring so maybe he just wanted to get the heck out of there :]

So I'm listening to all the songs Michael is requesting for this UK radio station and he just through a curve ball in the form of Marvin Gaye's "Sexual Healing" :nogood: Oh, Michael you cray

OMG, I'm dying over 'Pull Up To The Bumper'! I've loved that song since I was a child. So Fassy likes Grace Jones, huh? Yeah, you guys know that song is about anal sex, right? I see you, Mr. Nasty. Lol. Love it!:graucho:

Not surprised about 'Sexual Healing'. Marvin Gaye's a legend and 'Sexual Healing' is arguably his most popular song. Also not surprised by it because well, it's Fassbender we're talking about here.:graucho:

Pull up to my bumper baby,
In your long black limousine,
Pull up to my bumper baby,
And drive it in between.

Pull up to it, don't drive through it,
Back it, up twice, now that fits nice,
Race it, straighten it, let me lubricate,
Pull up to my bumper baby.

Love this playlist. He has mentioned or request Marvin Gaye before so that doesn't surprise me, the Grace Jones request does. I used to sing that song as a child just like Salt 'n Peppa's push it. Didn't find out the meaning of those songs until much later. :graucho:

Never heard of the A-hole either. He's obviously just a pathetic attention seeker who tried to steal Michael's thunder. What a douche!

I guess I understand why he was so excited to get bespoke suits for X-Men now-

Off the rack just does not accomodate...him well.

Yeah, it must be hard for him to find perfectly fit sizes. He's lean and lanky, with shorter arms ratio. And the suit is so tight! Reminds me of US Jane Eyre premiere suit, where it looked like a button would pop would he exhale out a breath. But, this is nitpicking and the lad doesn't look half bad in this one, despite the shiny petrol-like fabric. Still prefer the Venice black Dangerous method outfit best from his suit registry.

Anyone else think Iain Canning has a certain je ne sais quoi? I'm a sucker for silver hair, and the man always looks regal and scruffily elegant. Surprisingly enough, he's as young as Fassbender, if not younger.

On my way to the cinema ( My week with Marilyn ) I've seen a little rat . She/he was shaking , because it was so cold.

Poor little rat! How can Fassy dislike rats...

Rats.... *shudder*. I'll always associate them with that ghastly Crispin Glover movie. And funnily enough, my mighty nana who scares anyone and everyone isn't intimidated by anything in this world... except for rats.

But awww, you made me picture a shaking Stuart Little-like character and indeed, poor rat!
