In one of the first shots of the film, the Fasspenis leisurely moseys its way through a static frame in closeup, as we follow him, it, into the bathroom for a post-coital pee. These shots, not pure excess or exploitation, are more an introduction to the Fasspenis as a character all its own, the burly cyclops steering the narrative. It doesn’t speak, but it doesn’t need to. It is a penis defined by action. The Humphrey Bogart of penises, say.

That's always a good sign of superstardom. When the gay men start diggin' you the rest of the female population will follow.

I don't quite get this hype around the Fassdong. It's not like Humphrey is visible the entire film. Surely you can see a lot more of him in Hunger. That does make me think if people would have been that eager to see it if Fassy would have been normally proportioned.

Btw, what was it like seeing the film for the 3rd time?

I was a bit worried about Shame losing in every category. Bifas love films with tiny budgets so no wonder Tyrannosaur was the big winner. Same thing happened a few years ago with Fish Tank, when Michael won for best Male supporting actor.

I have to say that he looked horrible last night and his hair seems to look darker. Am glad he won.

When I watched this clip I became very ****ed at McQueen. I thought it was an unwritten rule not to have your actors do sex scenes right after they just met. How bloody awkward must that have been. Not to mention the pap pics that were taken of Nicole with her top off, because the set wasn't properly closed off. Be better next time McQueen! :tdown::rant:

Still think he should have won for best Director yesterday.

As a film major I can tell you that sometimes it can't be avoided. Based on scheduling and filming, he may have needed to shoot the scene that day. Most directors prefer to have their actors develop a relationship before, but if you need to get that shot then sometimes you have to do it.

I appreciate that they had a very tight schedule, I believe it was only 25 days, but I still feel sorry for Nicole. She was a real trooper about it. Then again she did get to make out with the Fassmeister, that can't be that much of a traumatic experience. :graucho:

WTF! They do look alike a bit. I have to say that Bradley wears his suit a lot better than Fassy. The jacket and waistcoat are too big for him now.
