She used to be a hater, I still don’t trust her, but she finally posted something clever.

Up until recently (like a few weeks ago) I didn't know she didn't like Alicia. Kinda sad but not shocking.

But a couple weeks ago, I don't know why I checked her twitter account around the time of the weekend of the wedding and she posted NO pics of Alicia. None. But now she posts some nice stuff about her now lol.

Yeah, she changed her tune when she realized that Alicia meant lots photos of Michael where he would accompany her to events. Like Paris fashion week for example. Basically, she’s just using Alicia for access to Michael. She probably still hates her.

I totally get the same vibe about her. I well remember her “subtle” snarky posts diminishing Alicia’s importance in Michael’s life. It’s only recently she has referred to her as Michael’s wife, for years she was referred to as a co-star. I’m sure her change of tune is motivated by the opportunity to get additional info and photos that would otherwise allude her.

She hates/hated Alicia so much she never acknowledged her presence until the last few months when I guess she realized she was fighting a losing battle (with whom I have no idea), but she most definitely was not unbiased. You don’t go out of your way to edit someone out of pictures because you “don’t feed into battle of the fans”.

She runs a fan account for Michael Fassbender - that's why she didn't cover Alicia. I understand that some people believe that from the moment they became a couple that there one in the same and in order to be a fan of one you had to be a fan of both. But not everyone sees it that way. There is a difference between hate and indifference.

Indifference is not caring if she’s in the picture lol. You don’t have to be a fan of hers, sure, but disrespecting her is gross. Anyone who’s a fan of his wouldn’t treat her this way out of respect for him. Anyway, why am I even talking to you?
Yeah, I remember when she regularly cropped Alicia out of photos with Michael

Of course a fan of his can treat her in a different way - because there is more than one way to be a fan. Some people are fans of his because they admire his acting. Others because they think he's hot. Others may like that he's a fan of their favorite football team, or that he races cars, or makes them laugh in interviews when he sings Africa. Sure, there are some people who because fans to the level the idoloize everything he does or says and find themselves wanting to dress like him and think like him. For fans like that, I guess that there'd be an obligation to fall in love with Alicia because he did. But for a person who says "hey, he's hot and in Xmen movies which I love, so I'm a fan" Alicia is rather irrelevant.

Personally, I think that because at the time they became a couple Michael was a bigger star than Alicia, there were some fans of hers who saw him as an opportunity to raise her stature and help her to be a bigger star. As a result, some of them expected his fan base to embrace her not so much out of "respect for Michael" but as an opportunity for Alicia. But I think those desires were unrealistic. I don't think it's necessary to like everything that a person one is a fan of likes. I'm not going to stop being a Cleveland Browns fan because Seth Meyers is a Pittsburgh Steelers fan. I may listen to a band that Dave Grohl talks about loving, but I"m not going to force myself to like the music because Dave likes it. And I don't think Seth is going to block me from viewing his show nor do I think Dave will ban me from his concerts over that.
