I can’t lie, if they spent the holidays in Australia, it disappoints me a bit, considering what that country is facing with the horrible fires right now. It’s a tricky thing - tourism can be a key part of coming back from a natural disaster, and I don’t want to advocate abandoning the country. But they are suffering through it right now - not bouncing back yet. For average people who’d had visiting Australia as a bucket list event and planned a trip of a lifetime for a long time, I can understand still going. But for people like Michael and Alicia who’ve been there several times and have the luxury of going anywhere they want ... I kind of wish they’d chosen to go elsewhere given the current situation. I do t see them as terrible people for going if in fact they did. But I do feel some disappointment in the choice.
Please go back to see what I actually said. Not a peep about who they were with ... on,y the location ... and expressing disappointment, not slamming them. Should I assume the misrepresentation of my actual point means that you acknowledge what I really said has some merit?When you feel the need to slate good people for spending Christmas with their family
They spend Christmas with family, in the family’s home and someone is disappointed by their choice

You assume a lot...that’s your problem... I suppose it would be too natural to say happy new year. But no, you must once again dictate to others.
