CeeJay, how is the difference in weight between the Hamilton and ME? Is it quite significant, especially compared to Agneau Giant Hardware?

The weight of the Metal Trim is not significant IMO, and as far as the Agneau "giant" hardware .. it depends on whether it's the old G21 hardware or the G12 hardware. The G21 hardware does add a fair amount of weight to the bag.

thanks a lot! yah, was meaning the g21 (tat I can't use due to back problem). glad to know ME and Hamilton are quite lighter than the G21

Question lovely tpfers! (please forgive me if it's a dumb one)

I've carried my black city ME bag only a handful of times (probably less than 10x) since purchasing it last fall but I noticed yesterday that one of the threads on the shoulder strap "broke" (thread has frayed and snapped; picture included). Should I be worried about it or would you guys consider it part of the normal wear and tear of the bag. I don't baby my bags but I was curious about your thoughts on whether this may be a quality issue or maybe due to the positioning, the sides of the shoulder padding could have rubbed it during use. TIA!

Hello! I would say they are both neutrals but different enough. If you look at my thread, I have put a lot of comparison photos. Also have a look at my instagram- my name there is 'harperqnn' there are lots of photos there. I've been using my ME daily for 2 mths and the threads are frayed like yours. Seems like it's a usual wear and tear issue. I'd thought mine was defective, thank goodness!

So I can confirm the upcoming 2016 gold hardware is till pale gold right? A bit hard to find 2014 S/S yellow gold version now.

amandang, what color of your bag and hardware is yours? I still hovering silver or gold.
