Hi all! So, I just purchased the regular sized ME with GHW, but now I'm having second thoughts that I should've purchased the SHW. The GHW is gorgeous with a lot of bling, and this bag will be my weekend prance around daytime bag. Your thoughts: GHW too blingy and formal for daytime?? Also, when you purchased yours, what made you choose the hardware color you chose? TIA! Please help!
Also, I haven't received it yet, and it's certainly exchangeable if necessary. I'll be sure to post pics to the community with whichever I decide to keep [emoji259]
Not too formal--it's still a Bal City, which is inherently not an uptight, formal bag for daytime. It's great in all the HW choices. My ME Town came in the pale gold, which I like because it's visually in between bright gold and silver.
To me, the silver is the edgiest option.

I have the silver and I agree with you that black and gold seems to me more blingy! I'm very very casual and I felt that the black and silver was more sporty. At the time I got mine it was really hard to find black and silver but I waited it out, go with your heart or else your silver itch may never be scratched!

I'm happy to say that I'm in the waiting lounge for my black sliver me town! It will arrive sometime in August eeeeeee! I've been eyeing this bag for quite some time. I've been wavering back and forth on it because I don't really need it. I checked out the new small city and was seriously considering getting it instead, because the town is listed over 2k and the small city was roughly 1800 and when you add tax it's still going to be over 2k. Honestly I'm finding it hard to justify the cost on bags anymore because I don't really need anymore. I really had my heart set on this color combo and this leather. I was eyeballing a black gold metal edge bag on ****** for a while and while I know the gold isn't a bright gold I already have a black grh city so I didn't want to get something similar and I wanted something to wear that will go with silver jewelry/accessories. I emailed Erica a while back if she was planning on getting any black silver me towns she said she thinks she will be. I kind of sat on it for a while and today when I hopped on FB and saw that she got a bunch bals I checked it out and sure enough the bag I want the way I want it is available so I jumped on it and was able to preorder one and even used a coupon code. Total savings is over $800 when you factor in tax! I'm so excited and happy that I waited until I was able to get my hg color combo. [emoji7]

I know I have spent a lot in the past on her site [emoji13] however I have been seriously cutting back big time on my handbag shopping. The past year I only got 2.5 bags 1.5 LV and the other Chloe( the .5 of a bag is a pouchette lol not really a full bag kwim). I got two cheapie bags at Costco this year totaling a whopping $80. So this will be my first serious handbag purchase of the year. I'd like to make one or two more but it's probably not going to happen unless I receive some very generous gifts.

I have an issue with a metal edge black city from 2014.
the stitches at the shoulder strap near the bale are all wrong! I am very frustrated about this issue.. can't understand if this is a manufacturing fault or fake bag feature
for example at my mini city the stitches go straight..
i need your help! please share how your stitches look in the same place.

Where did you get it? Was it authenticated if you bought it preloved and not directly from a Bal retailer? If you're concerned about it being fake, you'll want to get an authentication service to check it out.
