I wear lamb skin bags a lot in Vancouver Canada, land of rain......You could always look for an older chevre bag? Or if you luck out you might find an older Hamilton city bag, the older ones came in regular hardware I believe.

Yes I remember seeing pictures of the older chèvre styles and really liking them! It's just that I am rather reluctant to buy second-hand, I'm not sure if I'd ever be truly satisfied that they weren't fakes (irrational I know!), plus I quite like having lovely new bags fresh from the shop. I wish they'd bring back those older chèvre styles!

Recently bought a bag from Labels mots wanted and everything went really smooth and I was updated about the purchase and shipping several times. Have absolutely nothing to complain about (and I am quite a hard to please customer).

They're both beautiful! I am considering a black ME city as well for this year, if I can't find a black hamilton one in good condition. I actually like the glossier chèvre on metallic edge bags better, but I wanted a regular city with no metal edge (I'm also picky and don't like the super coated feel of the regular lamb leather as much as chèvre).

agreed, i love how my chevre ME looked. it looks more luxurious with the glossiness and the leather also holds up better than regular lamb

I went to the Spore boutique and saw blue acier [wonderful colour], rose de sables [pretty an and ladylike], beige liege, black, red and dark blue.

Hello, what kind of advice are you looking for? They have really beautiful colors of the ME out right now, I'm a huge fan of the blue aicer with silver metal, the beige with gold metal, black is always a classic in either gold or silver, and the rouge briquet is a strong, versatile red.

My advice? Get one!!

I’m have actually decided to get the blue acier but not sure to go with gold or silver hw. The Spore Balenciaga only brings in ME with gold hw. Saw a few TPFers carrying the blue acier with silver hw and they look so nice!

Also, was wondering if anyone can advise on the colour swatches for SS 2016 so Im not missing out on any colours.:greengrin:

another quick question: I'm afraid the blue acier is light and taking care will be an issues. Its my 1st balenciaga so I'm extra careful about the colour.

If it rains, would there be water spots or stains on the blue acier.

The bags i have are jewel tones [dark but bright] and this is actually the lightest bag colour I'm getting.

Hi Icy I wanted to let you know I have the town very pale Grey/silver with silver ME hardware from last year and I have used it a lot without any issues the leather does not stain or pick up any discolorations. I don't recall if it has gotten wet but this thicker leather is very sturdy.HTH

Blue Aicer is *gorgeous*. It's not so light like a beige or white. As long as you are careful with the corners (be mindful not to scuff them) I think you will be ok. And you can add protection to the corners using some products from the care & maintenance thread if you like (look at the Zelikovitz coating products). Rain is *no worry* on these bags. Just this week I was caught in quite heavy rain with mine (heavy for me, I am in a desert climate) and it literally wipes right off. The water would have to sit on the bag a very long time to leave marks or do any damage. Oh I've also dropped blobs of frozen yogurt in my ME city... Wipes right off with a napkin then I went over with a damp cloth when I got home just to be sure... No trace of it. These bags are beautifully hardy.

A town with ME? I would really want one byt it seems like they are not made this year or have I missed them? Are they seasonal?

I have the blue acier with silver hardware and love it! I notice that everyone in Balenciaga notices it and is drawn to it. I don't think it's that light in colour so maintenance should be fine.
I love silver hardware on ME bags, silver just shines and gleams.
If only the UK stocked black ME cities with silver hardware

I missed this post...

If you go back a few pages you can see pics of bleu acier with both gold and silver. This color looks beautiful with either, so I would go on whichever one appeals to you more. The gold metal goes beautifully with the blue tones in the bag, while the silver works really nicely with the gray undertones. You can't go wrong. I feel like a broken record because I say this all the time, but keep your eyes on hgbagsonline.com. Erica gets current season ME bags in all the time, and she ships internationally. You could contact her to see if she will get the Blue Acier with Silver. I've bought from her but never spoken to her, but I've heard she's great to work with.
