I noticed the new leather as well in the new keepalls. The old leather was matt and could wrinkle. The new one looks super smooth, but I have noticed that some of the bags has some "bubbles" or folds in the leather. I would like a bag like this, but did not like the folds/bubbles I saw in the store.
Yes, it really can be like that. And it can wrinkle too. I have seen some Cobalt Keepalls in store that had awful wrinkles. The rubbery coating on the leather is very thick, and while it gives a smooth look, it practically eliminates the leather's natural flexibility and resistance against creases and wrinkles.

My SA said she could order one for me, but no one knows how the leather will look like. Both the keepalls I saw in the store that day had these bubbles. I would much rather prefer the charming wrinkled look on the old macassar line. I guess I could take the chance, and return it if it has the bubbles

Hi guys!

I have a question for you all. How do you store your SLGs? I am trying to figure out the best way. Currently I have all my LV wallets in one box. It's the rectangular box that comes with ordering a perfume online. All my wallets are in their dust bags as well. I am trying to see if I should store then out of the dust bag, or in the dust bag but out of the box. Any suggestions will be great :)

Also if you guys have organization ideas for drawers and such let me know.

At Louis Vuitton they always recommend keeping them in the dust bag when not in use, but they are against the boxes, since they can trap humidity and ruin the products with time. You can read plenty of horror stories around here about the box storage.
This is how they store them in the stores too in the backroom. Dustbag only. The box is just a gift wrapping.

Thank you. I will take them out of the box immediately hahaha

Hi all! Pretty new here, mostly lurking haha. I'm still in search of my very first designer bag, tried on the soft trunk in taurillon and the monogram eclipse the other day and really liked how they both looked, but after watching some YT videos and reading some posts on here, it seems like the hardware scratches/chips really easily - is this still a thing or was that more for the older ones?

I didn't get the chance to try on the black empreinte Pochette Metis but I saw some photos online and also really like how it looks - would this be too "feminine" of a bag for a guy? I'm a skinny, Asian 5'10 guy haha.

Sort of off-topic, but also considering the Fendi baguette, BV padded cassette in black, and lower down the list a small Loewe Puzzle!

Im 6'5" and a BIG guy and I have the Pochette Metis reverse. Looks like a briefcase.

I found the strap too short, so I purchased a longer black leather strap to make it hand in the right place.

Buy and wear what you like. You will always find some idiot to tell you no. Listen to yourself.

Ah, great to hear!! I saw this https://i.pinimg.com/originals/b4/d5/8c/b4d58c075ca4899e0fec93ae10324557.jpg and was like hoooooly....but then was thinking maybe the black's more versatile/better for a "first bag"?

How's storage like in the PM? Will be using as a go-to every day bag for going out, likely carrying your standard hand sanitizer, spare mask, hand lotion, lip balm, airpods, keyholder, MAYBE small point and shoot camera (have a carrier for it too).

Thats the bag I have. I need more strap.

It has a great layout, but its not a big bag. You can easily carry the stuff mentioned.

Its easy to carry and looks great

Of all the bags you listed, I like the BV padded Cassette the most. I actually would love to own one, too.

I think all black hardware can chip because it is just a coating applied to brass metal. I've seen pre-owned Petite Malle bags with chipped corners, which is off-putting especially because the exposed metal is in such a stark contrast with the colour of the metal beneath.

Oh hey averagejoe! Ugh I tried on the Saddle two additional times and I just don't think I can pull it off, I love seeing it on YouTubers and just on its stand in store, but once on me I just looked..meh :'( I liked the padded cassette as well! Just worried about the soft leather and wear/tear! And it wasn't as roomy/big as its exterior led me to believe haha. Pity about the hardware chipping, I tried on the "hard" (not sure of the name) trunk and liked it a lot and felt it suited me, plus you can get it customized/painted, but at $7500 or so it's way outside of my budget! I went back to Loewe and the stone blue was beautiful too. So many choices, so little money LOL

I agree. The price point is way too high for me. Not sure if I would me much happier with one of those high price-point bags.

I would recommend trying out the Puzzle! I love it but my two puzzles are for work and they are the L and XL sizes. The soft trunk is a little too structured IMO and doesn't really sit very comfortably against the body vs the Puzzle, and is also less versatile (if you're looking at Medium sizes and upwards as the puzzle d ring allows for different modes of wear).
