I just don't like flap messengers very much and what's with that folded bottom? Looks like cracks are just waiting to happen.

I am not a fan of flap messenger either but it makes it better if there’s a back zip pocket to keep things secure. Yeah o noticed those corners too. It’s going to be a problem right? :(

Do you have experience with a bag with folded corners ? You are def not a fan of that bag haha
I had an Apollo MM from the fragment design collaboration. That bag had folded corners at the top that never even touched the ground, and one of those corners on mine cracked before the bag was even a year old. The canvas in the corners at the top was never under any kind of stress, either, other than the stress of the folded design. The canvas corners were never folded and unfolded, and they never touched the ground.

That bag in the pic? Those corners will wear even faster because they're at the bottom of the bag. Remember: the bottom is not only going to be touching the ground/be set down on various surfaces, but it's also going to be under stress from supporting the weight of the rest of the bag and its contents. I'm telling you now: CRACKAPALOOZA.

But if you want to buy it and see for yourself, I can't stop you.

That’s scary that the Apollo cracked at the top.... did the bottom have folded corners too? I’m very close to special ordering a Mick PM in damier ebene... the corners are folded but more sharp unlike the monogram I posted. In your opinion would paying premium to change the Mick be dumb? Lol

The bottom corners of the Apollo MM were pretty sharply folded, not unlike those on the Mick, I believe. They showed wear very quickly. I was so happy to find that bag in Paris, but I was so disappointed in the outcome of owning and using it.

I'm not sure what to think about getting a special ordered Mick. It would be really cool to have, yes, but if you're concerned about how the corners will wear over time, it might not be a wise choice. The only canvas bags of Louis Vuitton's that I trust right now are the ones with the piping along the edges or leather bottoms/corners. The folded corners wouldn't be a problem if they'd reinforce them with leather patches because that way the leather can just be replaced.

a graphite Mick PM is 1,550 and the special order ebene will be 3,500 after tax with custom lining choice and color. For so much money I’m wary of future corner problems... ugh that takes the fun away of a special order. But it would be my fav bag. I have no idea what I’ll do lol. Maybe I should just wait and I can special order a future bag with piping on the bottom. Thanks for your insight and advice

Hi guys! Just new to this forum. Not an LV owner yet but looking to purchase my first piece. Looking at the PM sizes. Mostly will be used just as an everyday bag and for travel. Nothing crazy big will be put, biggest will probably be an iPad. I have some choices such as District PM, Trocadero PM, Odyssey Messenger PM, Mick PM, Daytona Reporter PM. Tried on the Odyssey Messenger but i didn't think it looked good on me. Looked more of a woman's bag on me. I think the District PM looked good but hearing bad reviews about the flap? Having cracking issues on it eventually but saw on this forum that the softer newer models with canvass was not as prone to cracking and creasing. Was hoping for a bag i could use everyday for a loooong time that will hold up quite good. Not really a huge guy around 5'9 170 lbs. Any advice? Other suggestions not in the choices would be highly appreciated
