Now I wonder: Is there anything I should do to preserve the terrific look and touch of this bag, for example use some kind of leather care? Or do you just leave Monogram Shadow Leather the way it is?
I don't want to do anything wrong - it would be a shame :smile:

I have a Monogram Shadow Pocket Organizer that's over a year old, and I've used it constantly the entire time and haven't done anything to treat it. It's still beautiful and supple. I don't think you'll need to do anything to your bag.

Hi Men’s LV Club members,

I’m still searching for my Christmas present from my partner. Because I’m not fan of VA’s collections, I’ve my eyes on a couple of bags from the older collections - the Discovery in Damier Infini and the Odyssey in Monogram Eclipse.

Which would be your preferred bag if you used it as a work bag for at least once a week? FYI, I change my work bag on a daily basis. Thank you!

I would opt for the Discovery! The leather is soft but it is a bit delicate.

I had the Apollo Messenger MM, which was original version of that messenger, I believe. It was a nice bag because it could hold a lot for work. However, the canvas cracked in the folds at the top of the bag, and it was totally heartbreaking because I LOVED that bag and it was a souvenir I brought back from Paris.

They've obviously fixed the design for the Odyssey, for as you can see there are no longer any folds in the canvas at the top. Still, it just looks to me like a bargain basement version of the Apollo.

There are still folds in the leather of the Discovery. I'm sure it will age much better than the Apollo, which was canvas, but my experience was so bad that I don't want anything to do with any bags of a similar design or that have such serious folds in them like the Discovery does and the Apollo did.

Now that the weather is starting to turn cooler, I'm happy I can start wearing some of my favorite RTW again.

As a bonus, I recently picked up a Ile Blanche Candle which was supposed to be saved for Christmas. Unfortunately when I was going through TSA, they made me unwrap it to inspect it, so I guess I might as well start using it...

I think I should be hunting for the teal colored Pocket Organizer. I wanted the eclipse floral print Pocket Organizer. Perhaps the teal plus being Taurillon leather monogram embossed just had me more tempted.

This is not for sale. It is for staff only as part of their new uniform. I managed to buy one on Vestiaire Collective. I will post pictures once it arrives.
