I made my own Damier ebene glaze Zippy coin. Just take cheap plastic and wrap it over. There, Damier ebene glaze ta da. I glazed over the entire wallet so there is now zero function. At least the gold hardware won’t chip off now

Earlier this summer, I had to take in my Apollo messenger from the Fragment collaboration. It was those dreaded folded corners: one of them cracked. I knew that was something that might happen, and I was worried about it, so I was keeping an eye on it. It was pretty disappointing to me, as I have been a follower of Fragment Design for years, and I was super happy to get a piece from the collaboration when I was in Paris last year.
Almost immediately, the SA with whom I worked said that they would be able to replace it; however, the problem is that since the bag was from a special collaboration from a year ago, they wouldn't be able to replace it with the same bag as there weren't any left.
So I started researching again. Every single SA and manager who I spoke to in the store commented on how it was a "special" bag and how I couldn't replace it with just anything, and I was feeling like, "YES, I KNOW."
I texted back and forth with my SA many, many times asking him about different bags. Nothing was ever right or available--too big or too basic or not the right closure system or not the right canvas--and since I've been traveling for much of the month, I was feeling like I was missing out on the new fall bags.
Oh a whim last weekend, I inquired about the Messenger PM in Dark Infinity. The size of it seemed nice, and while it did have some corners with sharp folds, since it was made of leather, it didn't seem as though it would be as prone to crack as coated canvas. He texted back that he had it in store, and even better: he would be willing to put it aside for a week until I got back from my travels.
I got back home yesterday afternoon and went in last evening. The Messenger PM is definitely a different bag than what I had, but it felt right.
I love the leather and the Monogram Eclipse Glaze strap. And I love how the people at my store made the exchange/replacement so easy.

Beautiful trousers. I tried them on in Milan, but the cut was too tight for my thighs. Money saved I guess.
