I wish they didn't make the change to the rubberized leather on the DE bags because the coated leather, while it didn't age well on Neverfulls, wore like iron on the business-style bags. And I preferred the non-rubberized, yet still dyed, leather of the classic Macassar range.

Thank you for that information! Sorry for asking so many questions, my local LV is very far away. The leather is different than say, the leather used on the Macassar Keepall? That's slightly disappointing. I loved the luxurious VVN-like feel of the previous leather used in the Macassar range.

I'm not surprised. This has been a direction LV has taken lately. A direction I don't like. It seems like they (on some items) try to save some bucks by downgrade the quality.

I had pre-ordered mine and saw it last week in my store in Austin, TX but decided not to grab it. You can call them directly and see if they can ship it to you (if they still have it).

Hey gents. So was this "rubberized leather" used on the new Messenger Voyagers? I just got an email today that my reservation for the PM was ready to go but now I am hesitating because there is a fair amount of leather on the front and sides. Can anyone comment on the type of leather on the Messenger Voyagers? Thanks!

Yes the entire line is rubberized leather. I took a look at the messengers last week and picked up the pochette voyage. My first rubberized leather piece so can't comment on how well it wears for now, it's not exactly scratch resistant though I noticed.

Hmm... Gucci had a complete line with rubberized leather. Has someone any experience with that line?
