I started watching Monsters last night. Somewhat interesting. Honestly, I'm okay with them getting out at this point. They've served over 30 years? People get out in much less time, and I don't think these two are out to kill others.

Same. I neither believe nor disbelieve their abuse allegations, but it's been over 30 years and I truly don't think they were ever a threat to society.
If she was aware that the father abused those boys and did not do anything, it was abusive.
Anyone who is considering killing their parents, is not going to think about repercussions.

They killed their parents, they definitely WERE a threat to society for a while *imo*. None of us know if they were abused or not, but their crazy behavior, post murders was documented. Left unchecked I think they would've likely turned into abusers themselves. Who really knows?

I agree that most delinquents are younger people, they are now deep into middle age
Plus, they behaved in prison, why not give them a chance?
If you are calling their insane retail therapy as crazy behavior, it is apparently not a unique behavior when people are abused.

They have family support which is a huge part of reintegrating society.
