Hi - I see a lot of MCM - It is really popular again since the owner Sung-Joo Kim is onboard. I can't afford it myself (!) but I know a lot of people who love it. MCM has a new collection coming up called Shanghai - I saw it in the press. It is very colourful and has a rope design.

I live in Munich now and they have an outlet here which has recent seasons for great prices. I actually went there last Monday and bought the New Alda Tote and saw it in a dept. store today four times the amount I paid:) So far, I have two newer styles. I looked on their website and would love to get something from the Sportivo, Oro Vintage, and Glam Rock collections:)))

I have a nice collection (Bags & Accessories) from the late 80's-early 90's! ...I keep them, in their own section In my handbag collection;)

I wear the white w/navy small leather goods with most of my white bags. I love the look in my white epsom kelly;)

MCM formerly (Michael Cromer Munich relaunched as (Mode Creation Munich) in 2005 is a German luggage & leather goods company founded in 1976 who makes some of the highest quality goods in the luxury baggage market at a truly competitive price. (at least at the moment)

I love this one:

It's from a while ago. I'd like to remove the studded pieces along the top though and replace them with other things.

They did upgrade this style. If you look at my pic below they have trimmed down the bedazzling, changed to a pebbled leather, and the hardware is less silver, more brass...but somewhere in between. I can't remember what the SA called it but she made a note of it when I was trying to decide which one to get...maybe palladium??

That's a good upgrade! I didn't know that and haven't seen one available.

I see alot of MCM in Germany but am returning back to the US this summer and wondering if anyone is buying there? I know they are competitive with LV and Gucci so I assume most young consumers would rather go with the current "it" brand. Just wondering though--is anyone buying new MCM in the US?
