I steam all my scarves and they turn out fantastic. I think ironing is fine too on a low heat setting but don't press down too hard on the silk. I don't have any good reason for not pressing down hard but psychologically, I feel like the poor little silk fibers are being sqooshed.

I also steam my silks even my little twillies! They turn out perfectly. When they get noticeably dirty they go to the dry cleaners

Let me just say that I own a few H scarves (I am not a scarf pro!) and of all of them the maxi twilly, by far the least expensive, gets the most compliments..and that includes in H boutiques (I have gris Cavalcadour). This is such a wonderful, easy, versatile style!
