Hi y'all! A fellow forum member asked for an action shot of the Brazil Maxi Twilly in the cobalt blue. Here it is. It is a great color. Enjoy!
This is gorgeous! I know it's no.12, but does anyone know the exact CW please?
I don't think there is anything defective about the scarf at all. If you are pulling them through scarf rings, there is a chance that can lift the warp/weft/threads.
I just can't imagine having things I had to deal with with surgical gloves - that implies a level of fragility I would find very frustrating. Fortunately, my silks and cashmeres (and leathers) have all worn well, considering, and I guess I just see things like this as part of the wear and tear you get with an item over time.
I would just enjoy it if I was you. If it's only noticeable with a 10x loupe ... it's very small indeed.
I don't think I would want to own something so delicate. I think this means I will have to give away my entire scarf collection. It is fairly large as I started when I was 18. Line starts on the left. Kidding!
I am happy to report that my silks, even the oldest have withstood multiple wearings and are not snagged or pulled. I think they wear extremely well, including the shawls. I like to think I am wearing the scarf and not that it is wearing me. If a person's anxiety or unhappiness level, with any product, is so great, then it is time to re-evaluate and pass. Cut the umbilical cord to perfection and wear whatever it is and be happy and comfortable doing so.
Well put and a great reminder to all. You wear items to make you happy and to look good, try to look at them as inanimate objects meant to be loved and worn. If not, then it will be terribly frustrating and not Worth it IMO.This. These scarves are beautiful, yes, but in comparison to, say, collectible art, they are mass-produced, RTW pieces. It is unrealistic to expect microscopic levels of perfection, indefinitely. Just enjoy!
Looks beautiful - I love how it and all the MT go with is many colors and are so easy to wear!
Oh my! You look beautiful! Very put together!
Very pretty!

Has anyone used their maxi twillies to accessorise bags yet? My Cavalcadour in green (teal?) looks like it would go well with my B35 in Bleu de Galice, but I'm struggling to knot it nicely on the handles...
