I saw the new runway one with the Jedi vibe. Totally want that one… Teddys are the best. We currently have weather ups and downs, like one week its spring, next its snowing again. Only good thing, I get to wear my Teddy again, when its cold again.

Hi there I’m wearing xs in both colors. Im 5’6 and find the sleeves to be a tad short but it doesn’t bother me too much. In terms of the material yeah my SA said she thinks the camel felt softer, I didn't notice too much of a difference. Both coats are super light which was a surprise to me. Good luck deciding. U can’t go wrong with any of them.
I have the same problem. The sleeve are just a tad bit short for the XS. After wearing it, do you wish you had sized up to a size S?

I bought a white one in xxs to try as I’ve been admiring this coat for awhile but am reselling it. I’m 5’0 and a size 2/4 with a 36 inch chest and it was absolutely HUGE. The front looked fine when it was open. But the sides and the back just billowed out. I haven’t checked to see if it can be tailored but as is, I don’t think I can pull it off. I think if I was taller it may have looked a little better but my family told me i looked like a snow beast in it!!
I purchased my first Teddy from MM last year and I had the same issue, I'm 5'1 105 lbs so from the side, huge. However, MM was able to take the back seams in just a bit as you do not want to lose the shape and it made all the different for me.

I like the Teddy on others, but even though I am on the chunky side of slim, it overwhelmed me.
I’ve owned other Max Mara coats, but only kept a flat finish version of a pea coat that I bought years ago.
For a full length coat in this style, I wear a long taupe alpaca Brunello cuchinelli ( overpriced at retail,
but I bought mine on sale)

I love this coat and how cozy yet lightweight it is. It’s like wearing a comforting duvet in the cold and harshness of winter. BUT- I hate the way it looks once it’s dry cleaned even by high end dry cleaners. Have a look on Vestiaire or second hand sites. Hence I sold all mine. I just don’t love them once they look tatty. I’m going to go for a classic coat instead.
