Max Mara Coat Sizing - Please help!!!

I am looking to buy a Max Mara Studio wool coat. Matches says that a size 10us is a 14uk, but the MaxMara website says that a size 10US is a size 12uk. I am interested I. The Manco coat, it has a "loose" fit. For reference, I am a size 10us in store like Ann Taylor, Gap, Banana republic, J crew. I appreciate te advice!

I'd go with max mara size chart over matches.

I'd go with the MM sizing unless it's a really loose fit style.
I do think their coats and tops tend to be narrow in the shoulders.

Stick to MaxMara sizing. It's Italian sizing and most of the time the cuts are more tailored than American designers.

I have one or two max Mars costs and they cut quite small. For a coat I always try things in person, one size up and one size down. That's the only way to know what fitts best.

Normally US 6 = IT 42. However, MM conversion says US8 = IT42. Should I go with IT size? Thanks.

European sizes tend to be smaller than their alleged equivalent in the US. I’m a US 6, IT 40/42, German 36/38 and between S and M on Max Mara tops. Hope that helps.
