Matinee zipper problem

Hi everyone, I got my matinee from bluefly and it came yesterday. I love it but i really hate the zippers, they are very sharp, all of them. Are all matinee zippers like? Is there anything I could do (other than returning)?

Hmmm....mine are rather "sharp", too. As in they scratch your hand if you brush up against them? It doesn't really bother me too much unless I'm really digging in there and keep rubbing up against them. Maybe try rubbing some candle wax on them to make them "smoother"? But I think all RM zippers are like that (and any other brands with sturdier zips). I noticed it on my MAB too but since the opening is bigger it isn't an issue really.

I have the same problem, although the zipper has softened a bit. Or dulled.

I just have trained myself to be gentle when reaching into the bag and that care pays off because that way I don't scuff the leather right around the zipper by jamming my hand in and out of the bag.

But it would be great if the zipper were easier on skin.
