Has anyone else gotten notice of money due for customs from USPS? My husband just called me and told me I had a "Sorrry we missed you" notice with the amount due $48 on it for customs. I am a bit perturbed by this.

I don't think I have ever had to pay yet, maybe once a long time ago, unfortunately it is a reality of shipping into the country. It is a bummer, but there are way more times when I have not had to pay so if I ever do again it is worth it to receive beautiful handcrafted items. Much less expensive than my trips to Italy, that's for sure!

Which Minerva did you get? Let us share in the joy and we'll help you away those pesky customs fees!

I got the olive green Minerva. I can't wait to see it! Hopefully I can sneak out of work a bit early and run by the Post Office. I will try to post a picture of her but I am not very clever with posting yet.

I loved it in the photo in their book. Initially, I thought it would look a little madame but seeing it carried here on this board and in the photos from Massaccesi makes me think it looks quite different. The size, slouch, and strap are what I really like about it. When I saw LoveHandbags! taupe Minerva I was sold. It looked fantastic on her. Almost chose taupe but I am an olive green kind of person.

Josieblime, I have carried the teal since I received it. The bag is starting to slouch nicely and the strap drop is great. I wore mine over a coat in between on site customer meetings all day yesterday and it was just a pleasure to carry around.

Oooooh I think that the Olive is gorgeous! A perfect neutral and a stunning color. I cannot wait to see your pictures. josieblime, we use photosharing websites like Photobucket to post pictures here. Just upload your picture to Photobucket.com and copy the direct link they give you after uploading, then come back to here to tPF, and in the reply box there is an icon box above in the toobar with a little mountain and sun in it, click on that, then cut and paste your direct link, click ok and the picture will appear in your reply. Let us know if you need any help! I can totally remember the first time I tried to post pictures!

What a very kind thing to say! Thank you josieblime! :tender: I am still carrying mine non-stop after 3 weeks. I hope you love yours as much as I love mine! That was just sheer love you saw with me in my picture!

I just picked up my Taupe Minerva. She is beautiful! I love the color, style, size, leather, and workmanship. The only thing wrong was that the inner zippered pocket and the middle zippered compartment didn't have any zipper pulls so it is hard to open the zipper. I have emailed Valentina to see if she can send me the zipper pulls. In the meantime, does anyone have any ideas on what I can do? Please see the pictures. Other than that, I love the bag and plan to order a bespoke Minerva soon.

Sorry--the pictures are too big and I couldn't attach. I'll try again later. Any ideas on how to make the zippers work would be greatly appreciated. The only part of the zipper that sticks up is where the pull is supposed to attach.

Well, yesterday I got stuck in the meeting that wouldn't end and got out of work late. Couldn't get to post office in time to get my lovely. I am about to shut down and head out so I can finally meet my gorgeous bag!! Will post pics as soon as I can.

Thank you, LoveHandbags! for the quick tutorial on posting photos. I will reference it and post.

That's too bad ... Hopefully they can send the pulls soon. In the meanwhile, it may not be pretty but you could attach a paperclip just to be able to use the zipper. That might be not the best solution, but it might work until you get the real deal in. Maybe use the plastic coated ones though so they don't scratch the metal.
