When Marco had a Kickstarter a few years ago one of the options was for him to design the bag of your dreams. Here’s the description of what he’d do:

Design, create and receive your bag! You'll collaborate with me and my team and you'll be involved in the creation of YOUR style. Following your inputs we'll will create your bag, you'll be free to decide shape, dimensions and all details of the bag of your dreams. Bag will have your name embossed and it will remain a unique masterpiece forever!
You'll be free to decide:
* Bag shape and size.
* Leather (any Nappa, Pebbled, Merinos, Verona, Pompei or Metallic calf).
* Leather color (between all available ones at our tannery).
* Lining (fabric or thin lamb).
* Lining color (any available fabric or lamb color).
* Hardware finishing (light gold, silver, light gunmetal, dark gunmetal, rose gold).
* Embossed initials or complete name.

Of course, it would be significantly cheaper to start with one of his patterns, but it seems like something he’d be able to do.

This is very interesting. Does anyone has an opportunity to try this MM service yet? Would love to hear about this unique journey.

I just added a Theia midi to my wishlist yesterday. Now that I’ve seen the old brass hardware, I’m really wanting to pair it with Tuscania.

I just added a Theia midi to my wishlist yesterday. Now that I’ve seen the old brass hardware, I’m really wanting to pair it with Tuscania.

Wait! There’s old brass hardware? How did I not know? (I think Theia Midi is a very roomy bag, yet does not look like a large bag & holds a lot without looking stuffed)

I have been in serious need of a new "school bag" - a large and strong north-south tote that could carry several heavy folders, books, my laptop and lunch to and from university. The old bag I have been using was breaking at the seams. I asked Marco if he please could make me the bag I needed. Marco agreed, as the design is similar to a Bouquet without side ties. And the Lucia design was born

I dearly wanted my school bag to be made in a traditional Vacchetta, and after a while Marco came across some lovely hides at a local tannery. Moro Vacchetta is the name of this leather,- it is VERY similar to the lovely Mahogany Vacchetta Marco had a few years ago, but I believe it is slightly thinner. It has a smooth surface. Deep brown with a tint of red, very difficult to photograph and absolutely gorgeous. Marco has several Moro hides left, if anyone is interested

My Lucia is 32 cm wide, 14 cm deep, 38 cm tall. Straps are only 2 cm wide (and distance between straps is 3 cm more than on Bouquet) - straps stay put on shoulder whether bag is full or half empty (in the same way as Miss M's, I assume). I chose strap drop of 23 cm which works perfectly for me on this bag (I usually need 26cm, but that would be too much on this north-south bag). Base panel firmly structured (stiff backing), the rest of her soft and flexible. She holds a ton, yet is never bulky and is tall enough to protect my stuff from snow and rain when carried. (She is 7 cm taller than my folders).

I am unsure whether Marco will be adding Lucia to his regular collection / website.
I suggested to Marco that he do a Lucia promo, but he instead suggested I share info/photos about the bag and that you can contact him if you are interested.

I love the Moro Vacchetta so much that I "had to" order a Minerva Midi, too - with "old brass" hardware.


I requested "no buckles" on shoulder strap, as I am no fan of purely decorative hardware. I said to Marco that internal hardware could be Light Gold - I felt no need for him to get hold of zips, D-rings etc in "old brass" just for this bag. (And actually, I quite like the inside being "pretty" while the exterior being more rustic .)

I have asked Marco if he might introduce "old brass" to his regular collection or at least do a promo, but he doubts than many will be interested. So he is happy for me to share photos, in case it does spark interest and requests...

GROUP ORDER FOR NEW DUFFEL BAG
Marco has worked with the luggage Atelier and has come up with a smaller duffel bag. The measurements for the Duffel Bag with side pockets is 17.3" wide,14.1" tall and 11" deep.
The following leather choices are available in both Soft Calf and Vacchetta - tan, dark brown, navy, black, grey and medium taupe. The lining and thread has to be the same for a group order. Marco recommended selecting something neutral for the thread and lining that will work with all these leather choices.
The regular price for soft calf is € 660,00 Vacchetta is € 720.00

€ 530.00
The photos are of a sample of the new smaller duffel and it is in Aquila Matte. Marco said he is not able to offer Aquila Matte for the group order.

I got my Charlotte Satchel in Asti Bull yesterday. The wait was very long, so not sure what's going on there, but I love this leather. It's soft and strong. If I had it to do over again I'd ask him to do the tan panel on the backside as well.

I'm also thinking about the new Camilla in Positano.
