Here are my 3 MC bags. Great quality for the price.

Such a gorgeous collection

The quality is so good. A few days ago I put my Grace bag on the couch and my 100kg+ father sat on top of it. I was so worried what I would find when he got back up, but the bag looked as if absolutely nothing had happened - not a scratch or dent!

My new vintage darlings or, well, I think they’re vintage anyway. Preloved at least - I haven’t found any kind of database on Mark Cross styles by year so it’s hard to date them definitively.

The first is a bit of an oops baby. I got the small black bucket bag and loved her so much that I thought I’d snap up another one in brown when I saw her, thinking it was the same bag. Well… not quite, lol. She’s much bigger than I expected. It’s okay though - I’m a big bag person most of the time anyways.

Then there’s my new darling. I love her, she’s so pretty. No idea where I’ll wear her but that’s not important. Cost more than I’d normally pay for a pre-loved bag but less than I paid for my last new Coach bag so I still feel pretty good about it. She’s about 20cm at the base, not big but still a functional size, and she hits a lot of the high points of my holy grail bag (vintage H Kelley in box calf). Definitely a bag I can see myself hanging onto forever.

I love reading this thread. I have been collecting Mark Cross for several years now.

Most of my bags were sourced from Barney's Outlets when they were in business. I would routinely get $2400-$2600 bags for $400-$600 and that formed the bulk of my collection.

I had some Hermes bags (Lindy, Jige, a couple of trims) and I sold them all. I got tired of worrying about them. The Mark Cross bags I just wear and love.

I have:

1) a coral colored flat envelope clutch smooth

2) the smaller sized rattan/wicker Man Ray bag with white alligator trim (the jewel in my collection!)

3) A red and wicker rattan/wicker tote with red leather accents

4) A chocolate brown sort of work style tote pebble

Then the bags that LOOK Like purses kids draw. Triangle with box bottom and top handle. I have five of these:

5) Sage green oversized top handle smooth scottie

6) Black "handbag" top handle style with red leather lining (an early model when they were coming back .Weighs a TON) smooth scottie

7) French blue (med blue) with white edging top handle pebble

8) Red pebble leather oversized top handle scottie

9) Acorn/Chestnut pebble leather oversized top handle NIB got it right when Barney's Outlet closed for $400. scottie

The one that got away

10) A rubgy stripe half red/half blue grace box.

What I still want

11) Sara

12) Binocular bag!
