I'm really excited about there being a new in between size!!! The Medium is just a tad too small for me but I think the Large would be too big. Hoping this new size is perfect!

Ok girls my MT bag has arrived. Here's a quick review and photo essay for you all ;-).
First impressions: the leather is very slouchy but if you are expecting a buttery goatskin like older Balenciaga, this is not it. It is pebbled leather and conditioning it did make it a bit softer, but it does not look like "expensive" leather by any means. Actually, the whole bag doesn't look "expensive", to be honest. I like it but I don't LOVE it, KWIM? It would be a perfect price point at about $250. I am a bit mystified as to the actual retail cost of this bag as I just don't see where they are putting in that value.
Further impressions: it is very easy to keep this bag organized as the bottom is nicely reinforced so you can see your things inside very quickly. I still have some issues with it being an exact copy of the Birkin and I find myself a bit self-conscious about using it. Not like anyone here in Toronto really knows what a Birkin looks like it seems but I just can't get past this hangup.
The bag is extremely lightweight so that gets it major points. The handles look a bit weird with the wrinkliness of them and I don't think the bag look good worn messenger-style or with the strap at all. Wearing it with the handles looks a bit odd because the base is rigid- if you could take out the base shaper (I might try this) I think the bag would actually look much better and slouchier. I got the China Blue and would be concerned about colour transfer without applying a protectant if anyone is thinking of taking the plunge on this colour.
Overall, it's an okay bag in my opinion, but I would not pay retail and think they should price it considerably lower. I would consider getting the dark purple for Fall if the price reflected what you actually see with this bag.
And finally, the mod shots (excuse the crummy iPhone shots and my shabby excuse for a foyer):

I have the small MT in black and I have to agree that it is overpriced. I do love how lightweight it is (Birkins weigh a ton!), but it is super-slouchy, and the leather is not nearly as nice as Balenciaga chevre. I have an organizer in mine, and when I set the bag down with the top open, it crumples down around the organizer so the organizer shows! Needless to say, I've been better about bringing the middle flap over to secure it. All that being said, I use mine all the time though, and I love how I don't have to baby it.

i have the older medium without the redesigned handles and i also have the large... and i feel the same. the medium is not big enough, but the large is best as a weekender or a carry-on.

both of mine are black with gold hw... would another black with ghw in the in-between size be too much?

Bag looks great on you. I agree with your review that the bag is overpriced for the quality. I received a pink one and while I love the color and the style, the craftsmanship is rather iffy with wrinkles in the leather from the attachment of the inside pocket and the glue coming apart on the edge of the flap. The leather does not feel as nice as many of my other leather bags but maybe this is due to some kind of coating that is sprayed on for durability. I love the design and how light weight it is, but the price point is just too high as it looks like it should cost no more than $300. I hope MT takes note of this or improves their craftsmanship as I don't think I will buy anymore until I see either change.

I got the Small Black SHW, though I love it, I also agree w/ most of you, being overpriced. I would have added another 1, but the price is holding me back. For another $535 Small, I can save it towards a Celine, Bal or PS1 bag, w/c are more proven better leather, design signature & quality.

very nice bag!! :graucho:

Is your bag in china blue or light blue???

I have to be honest and say that I am a bit disappointed to hear the not-so-stellar feedback, as I ordered a small bag and I am eagerly waiting for it. I guess we'll see. The 'look' may outweigh the quality.
